Could I be carrying twins?

This is my fourth pregnancy. Two miscarriages and one beautiful daughter. My morning sickness has been tolerable but my appetite is extremely huge. I can't seem to go more tahn a few hours without being absolutely famished. With my other pregnancies my appetite was not this big. Could i be carrying twins?

Hello,

The only way to know this is by having a ultrasound that reveals a twin pregnancy.  Your appetite or other changes related to you being pregnant are not predictive.

Hi there,

I am exactly the same. Morning sickness is mild appetite is beyond control. I am 5 ft 4 and weighed 115 pounds and was always very careful with what and how much I ate. Im almost 8 weeks pg now and I am hungry ALL the time. I am not eating for the sake of it or justifying a huge binge because Im pg I am literally extremely hungry a couple of hours after eating. I actually wrenched my sons snickers bar out of his hand yesterday and ate it like a rabid dog. I am so worried because at this rate I am going to put on an unhealthy amount of body fat.

It is very possible. If you do feel Cdeupree that you could be having more than one, let you doctor know. They may check your levels and or do a ultrasound.

I know when I was pregnant last march, my appetite was HUGE! lol I ate more than my husband, but I didn't find out I was having twins until I had already lost them.

This pregnancy around, my symptoms are very very potent, and I have a huge appetite again. Also my pergesterone was 228! So I have an ultrasound this wednesday to find out if there is more than one. I had a previous ultrasound, early on at 6 weeks 2 days, and so far we had only seen 1 baby.

Also I found it easier to eat several smaller meals, to keep myself from eating an entire cow in one sitting lol.

Good luck to you, and I hope all goes well!
