Cycles

by Atia_Julii, May 20, 2008 01:47PM
Is having a cycle that is 37 days considered abnormal?  Based on my CM, I believe I am ovulating, but I read that any cycle longer than 35 days is considered abnormal.  Is this true?

Hello,

Yes, technically speaking.  What are your regular cycle lengths.  And just because your cycles are long doesn't mean you don't ovulate.  I'm not sure what more you want to know.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

My regular cycle lengths are 36-37 days, and ovulation appears to be occurring.  I guess my question is, is my cycle considered "normal."

I have found many articles on various websites that say anything longer than 35 days is considered abnormal, and I'm wondering if that is really the case?
