Day of delivery

For those of you having a vaginal birth. Who have you decided you want in the delivery room with you when its time?

I know my cousin wants to be with me like my first pregnancy and my mom too. But that was 18 years ago when I had my son.
things are different now.  I have my husband and its his first baby he helped me raise my son since he was 6. So I will have him with me but not sure I want anyone else
My mom is weird shes changed alot! Became very religious and touches you amd prays and repeats what she says.  
And my cousin I love her but she talks alot and I know she'll wanna take smoke breaks n stuff so I don't think im gonna ask her either.  I dont want them sad or upset but just not feeling it. Idk im undecided.

When I had my son, my partner and my mom were there. My mom could talk to me but couldn't touch me - I banished her to a corner of the room. She was cool with that and didn't take too many pictures (I was going through crazy temperature fluctuations so I was completely naked basically the entire time and did not care at all). My partner was awesome. I don't know if I would have allowed anyone else in, probably not. Probably it will be the same team next time.

@lwolfe Yea I want people who will support me not try to change my mind. And thanks! I just want to go as natural as possible and all the videos I've watched of water births I just want mine to go that way as well.

I'm having my boyfriend my mom maybe my dad he likes to play with everything in the room lol and my boyfriend mom but after the baby is born me and the boyfriend are going to our bonding time with our little one

Ahha thank you congrats to you as well! He knew i was pregnant before i did we go shopping and hed point out little nikes and cute outfits i was like"yes babe you never seen baby clothes before?!" ahahaha little did i know!!

Lol so true hes young he has his whole life he needs to get his career and dreams going aint no one got time for kids except us ahhaha its put a hold on my goals it will be hard but ill get through it. Im 23 but i feel 16 and pregnant i feel too young to be having a kid omgosh!! Lol

I promised him he wouldn't have to look down there and just ne up ny my head and he said hes scared I will be like a possessed woman and he doesn't wanna get yelled at lol he cracks me up
Yeah that kinda is my goal too so he won't wanna jave kids yet
He has a girl friend and they've been together for 4 years it's pretty serious and hes too young I want him to have time for himself only cuz being a young mother I know the struggles plus I don't wanna be a grandma yet omg!

awe that must be hard to want her there and having to respect your mans decision but like in my situation maybe it is better just the parents and baby have special bonding time.

I'll be having my boyfriend int he delivery room and I would love my sister to be there as well and she wants to be there too but my boyfriend says he thinks it a moment that should be shared between me him and baby and not anyone else . So idk :( makes me sad cause my sister is the only one that has been there for me family wise but I still want to respect boyfriends opinions

It's just how I've always felt. Who knows maybe ill want him in there with me. Well see.. im due next friday!! :)

Yeah, they will forget all about it once baby is here :) and it will be all about baby and they will leave me alone lol
i have tried hard to get my son to say yes and he says no way :/ I ask him just about every day but who knows maybe when the time comes I might get him to come in especially if I cry and beg him lol

I'm doing a home water birth so the people that I will have here is my mom, husband, doula, midwife and her assistant.  My mother in law wanted to be here but I told my husband I'm not comfortable with that and she likes to argue with me and I don't want to deal with that while in labour so he relayed that message to her. Don't get me wrong I love her to death but she wouldn't follow what I wanted and it's my birth. She took it kind of hard and tried to guilt me into allowing her to be there by saying my doula is a stranger and it's her first grandbaby but she got over it. At least I hope she has she hasn't brought it up since.

I am only having my SO with me. This is our baby that we made together, and I feel that we should get a little while with the baby on our own before other people get to meet him/her :)

Glad to help and im.glad you have a good man by your side good luck with everything girly tell your son to put on his big boy chonies and be there ahahaha i dont blame him tho thats a little much but that chance will only come once he wont be able to take it back!:) maybe try telling him that!

but don't let any thing get you down. Like I told my mom when she got upset, "you may be mad & upset now, but once your fist grandchild is here born on earth, you will forget all about it" good luck & congrats :D

oh my husband knows to be with me and help me he's awesome.  He knows I had a very bad experience when I had my son. My sons father left me and went to party do drugs and get drunk left me all alone in the hospital :( my husband promised me he will be right there for everything
And I think your right im just gonna have him I get anxiety thinking of having anyone else in there I am just not feeling it on having anyone else I do want my son there but he says no way lol darn!

I was going to have my husband and mom,  but my husband and I decided for it to be just him and I. Once they say its time to push, I want everyone except my husband and of course doc & nurse to leave the room. It is our first child. We are both first time parents and we want to share the birth of our baby girl just the 2 of us and in the end 3 of us as a family ♥ maybe my 2nd pregnancy ill have my mom
