I thought I would mention that a lot of my friends use the Target brand Up & Up diapers. They are latex and Chlorine free. Pretty inexpensive too ... they have Size one, 50 count for $6.19 which is about .12 a piece.

I use the **'s wholesale club brand of diapers now. I used Pampers Swaddlers when Braeden was first born, and I did like them, they're just so expensive!  I can get 200 diapers for $25 at BJs, and they work really well. I actually had more leaks with Pampers, and MANY more leaks with Huggies (I don't like huggies at all). I don't know if the **'s diapers are chlorine free though.

i use pampers swaddlers right now. im in size one and i really love them, they only go to size two which ***** cause i dont know what im gonna use after that, but i pay 20 dollars for 94 diapers, and they usually last about 2 weeks so not that bad at all!

and for formula I use Enfamil Prosobee. its for sensative bellies, causse my son had gas and was fussy all the time, its got soy in it. and i really like it, he seems to as well lol..

I was on lexapro prior to getting pregnant last time.  I spoke with my doc about switching to zoloft becuase it's considered much safer for breastfeeding.  I found that the zoloft actually does far better for me than the lexapro.  Perhaps you could talk to your doctor about something that is safe to take.  But the decision is yours and whatever you choose will be right for you and your baby :)

I was taking lexapro daily & klonopin as needed..then I stopped the Lexapro all together because I was doing so well and was only taking the Klonopin as needed ..up until i found out I was preggers. I plan to get back on the lexapro again....just bc my anxiety has been up and down....but when its up its rough....so I figured I'd try it out again.... There hasn't been too much evidence on lexapro....from what Ive read on major side effects on infants except for sleepiness and possible loss of appetite or weight loss.....I definately don't want to pose any risks on my baby.......klonopin probly is not safe whatsoever....havent looked it up but just assuming.....

Depending on the meds you are on you can still safely breastfeed.  I take Zoloft for depression. I went off of it for the pregnancy but will resume right after birth. I took it while breastfeeding my last child as well.

Thank you ladies :) I will check out the article in a few..I've heard about them but never really considered.....I will check it out though! I would love to breastfeed except I have pretty bad anxiety at times that I need to be on meds. The meds work wonders for me.....I wish it didn't have to be that way but That is why im going to go with formula.

Hope to hear more input from others as well!

Hi There,

If you are interested in Chlorine free diapers then you might want to jump on in with cloth diapering? Here is a good article on the money savings http://www.diaperpin.com/clothdiapers/article_howtosave.asp
I was a little weary about cloth diapering but a few members of my family have done it. I think it helps if you know someone that does it. It's really easy. None of those kids get diaper rash and they seem to potty train a lot faster. My Sis said that's because they can feel when they are wet. Just another option to consider. I do plan to use the Seventh Generation chlorine free disposables when I'm traveling.

We are going with breast feeding the first year. If for some reason we need to supplement then we will make our own. We were recommended a recipe from the book Nourishing Traditions.

I hope you find some good alternatives that you are comfortable with :)

Yes that is a good price.  It works out to about 21 1/2 cents per diaper.  Most brands (even the store brands) work out to around  24 cents per diaper and up.  Brands like Huggies and Pampers usually run closer to 30 cents per diaper.  As for ordering online or in store, it really depends....the larger the quantity you can get at a time the better of a deal you can usually get.  You really just have to go around and price them.  But you need to go by UNIT price (price per diaper) not the total.

I've never used any organic anything.  The type of formula you use is a personal choice and depends on what YOU feel will be best for your baby.  The best thing to do would be to read up on all the different kinds and decide which one you feel is best.  If you are worried abuot additives or anything else keep in mind that breast milk is the absolute best for baby.
