Yeah, someone told me that you don't always get the implantation spotting... I think 4 years ago I had a m/c... It was the awfulest feeling... and I didn't tell anybody b/c I was too young.. My mom would have killed me.... I don't think i was that far along, and didn't get a d&c.    So after I get my peak in temp, that is the day of O or I will O in 12-36 hours????  And then I will know def. when I've ovulated right?!?!?!   Yes I'm going shopping for some baby making stuff today!!! LOL...  Yeah that is so crazy how everyone is different... Knowing my luck I will be one of the lucky ones who would never know if I was p until I get a bump in my belly!!!!  I knew a lady that didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor!!!  But she was way over weight and couldn't tell...

apparently not everyone gets the implant. spotting.  you start counting the dpo the day after you ovulate.  i believe that implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12 dpo.  so, if you test on 6dpo, you may get a neg because your implantation may not have happened yet.  i also read that it often take some women 2-4 days after implantation to get enough preg. hormone for a hpt to detect.  and then, you hear about women that get neg hpts thru whole first trim and end up finding out they are pg from a doctors blood test.  it's very tricky!  your luteal phase may be fine.  you will know after you start with your temp taking.  however, i still recommend b6.

Thanks to you both.. Wow I didn't know that.  My friend the whole time she was pregnant she took flinstone gummies... But I wasn't around when she had her so I'm not sure what her birth weight was and all.  But THANKS so much for the info... And I will def. look into getting some asap!!!  So Krissyy do they help lengthen everyones luteal phase?  So in that case like you said the baby will have more time to implant which will lead to implantation (and you get the bleeding) very light, kinda pink blood?  And then you can start counting dpo and begin to test?!?!?  I'm confused about that.... Aaahhh

they prep your body for conception.  there are many kinds out there--some that make the reputation for being nasty because they make you nautious.  i have been taking rainbow light "just once" prenatal one vitamins from target.  the are only $10-$11.  you take 1 in the morning.  i have never felt sick from this brand.  as rachie said, folic acid is VERY important.  this brand gives you 800mcg which is 100% of what you need.  i also take an extra 100mg of b6.  it helped lengthen my luteal phase (the period between ovulation and af--the time where the baby needs to safely implant).  my luteal phase was too short which could result in m/c.

I havent actually tried the walmart ones but they say folic acid is really important in the beginning of pregnancy.

"Whether you're already expecting — or just planning to be — taking the right vitamins can help ensure a healthy baby. One of the most important for you and your baby is folic acid. Up to 70 percent of all neural tube defects (NTDs) — birth defects of the brain and spine — could be prevented if every woman of childbearing age took folic acid daily, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). "

"While researchers don't know why folic acid helps prevent birth defects, it has been shown to decrease the risk of the most common NTDs: spina bifida (the leading cause of childhood paralysis) and anencephaly (a fatal condition in which an infant is born with a severely underdeveloped brain and skull).

Not only does folic acid combat these NTDs, but it may also help keep your baby from developing a heart defect, cleft lip, or cleft palate.

Additionally, a pregnant woman needs folic acid to help support the rapid growth of the placenta and fetus. The nutrient aids in baby's DNA production. Cell division and fetal growth can become impaired without it. One study found that women with folic acid deficiencies were two to three times more likely to have a premature baby or a baby of low birth weight than those who got enough of the vitamin."

I have always heard you should take a prenatal vitamin that contains folic acid while trying to get pregnant.  I have been taking them since my miscarriage.  You can buy them over the counter...although perscription one are always the best.
