Do I have to stay away from Dogs to get Pregnant?

by SweetSurender, May 27, 2008 01:02PM
Hi.. I'm 28 years old , I just got married 6 months ago and I'm trying to get pregnant natrually .I have a chuwawa dog at home that I take care of and some of my friends told me that you cannot get pregnant if you have a dog in the house, but I asked two of my doctors about this and they told me there is no problem if you have a dog in the house and u can get pregnant, Is having a chiwawa a problem for me to get pregnant ?

Hello,

Having a dog is not a problem.  It is for people with cats that we advise women to refrain from changing the kitty litter due to the risk of toxoplasmosis exposure.  But this is not an issue with dogs.

Best regards,

thats the most rediculous thing ive ever heard, a dog has no influence over wether or not your getting pregnant. but pay attention b/c animals can tell when women are pregnant, they do act differently to you. its like how animals supposedly know when bad wether is coming, (i dont know if this is real! there just old wives tales) good luck
