Endometrial biopsy

by gr8winegirl, Apr 21, 2008 01:15PM
My husband and I have been ttc for 13 months and we are entering into the testing phase of why. My doctor wants me to get an endrometrial biopsy at the end of this cycle and I am a little freaked out. Has anone had it done and how was it?

Hello,

It can be painful, but is a very brief office procedure.  You should ask him why he is performing it and what he will do with the information he obtains.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

i havent done yet. But i know abt some abt it. u can take painkiller (tylenol) when u ll be going for this test(just before test). In this test doctor use a plucker ( dont know the exact name) she ll enter in use vegine and get some tissue from ur uterus lining. and send it for biopsy.
