Gender??

I got an ultrasound done at barely 15 weeks and the girl who did the ultrasound  told me that it is a girl.  However, I thought that 3 lines meant a girl that were beside each other.  Mine shows 3 dots in the shape of an upside down triangle and I was under the impression that meant it was a boy.  I attached my picture of the ultrasound.  What is your expert opinion?

LOL.  Yea.  She even told me that I had "one modest little girl."  In fact, as soon as "she" turned over for us she stuck her hand between her legs.  My next u/s is June 8th which will put me at about 18.5 weeks.

I wouldn't trust a 15 week ultrasound to tell you the gender, honestly, they aren't even supposed to guess until 20 weeks, and even then, it's an educated guess, some are more easy to tell than others, but there was a woman on here that ended up with a little boy after being told it was a girl! That is not the best shot to tell, but my little boy you could clearly see everything, and I mean everything, but he wasn't shy and had his legs spread for us, haha!! whens your next U/S??

Thanks!  Yea.  I did research online and found several other pictures with the same 3 dots in the form of a triangle and it said boy!  So naturally I am a little bit confused.  They kept telling me theres nothing between the legs, but I kind of thought that at 15 weeks the boy and girl parts look very similar and it is hard to determine.

I found out at 13 weeks it was a girl. Now I'm 38+6 and its still a girl. This is my fourth girl so I used other ultrasound pics to compare. Good luck!

I found out with my son that I was having a boy at 13 weeks at my nt scan. A friend of mine found out she was having a girl at the same point in her pregnancy. At this point they need a good quality, high-resolution ultrasound machine to tell, but it is possible. My advice is to hold off on buying girl items until after your next ultrasound if your not sure. While it is  possible to see the gender at this point, sometimes they do make mistakes. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

15 weeks is way to early to tell! They do say some are recognizable but I wouldn't go by what they say at that ultrasound. Girls are very hard to tell as it is then to try and determine on a 15wk ultrasound...those dots could be anything. I honestly would wait until your 18-20 wk scan and go when your more like 19or 20wks to really determine the sex....you wouldn't believe the difference a few weeks will make! When I went for mine he was all proud to show his junk off! And each scan after that he does it just to reassure grandma who was hoping for a girl!
