Lol I don't have gerd, med help just kept sending me to the gerd forum when I tried to search for heartburn posts in the pregnancy forum. I don't ever drink tea, just don't like it :-( I usually get the problem regardless of time or what/when I eat. It's just been the past week that it's started.
I drink camomile tea it helps me with my heartburn and relaxes me so makes sleeping a lil better. Hopefully it works for you.
I work with medication n there is a lot u can take for gerd
Try taking a table spoon full of yellow mustard, may sound grose but it helps for heart burn and acid reflex. Make sure u let your food digest before you lay down. Cause after eating then laying down right away is going to cause the food and acid to come back up. My doc told me this and I tried and I had relief. Hope you feel better soon. -Ashley
I'm glad it worked :) I'll have to try it one day.
Eh like a 3. Kindof salty/metallic. But I had just one HUGE belch and I think my tummy is almost back to normal lol ty for the tip!
On a scale of 1-10 how did it taste? 10 being the most funky lol. Hopefully it works for a while :) I might have to try it for a late night heartburn fix lol.
Ok smiley, I tried the baking soda with water. It's making me burp and feel TONS better. It tastes funky, but not terrible. Yay something that momentarily works! Lol
Oo I do have baking soda (it'll reduce the acidity of the stomach and probably make me belch lol just imagine the whole vinegar/baking soda volcano effect lol)
And I have no pickles atm, but I intended to pick some up this weekend :-).
If you can handle it try pickle juice...it sounds wierd but its helped me through what little morning sickness i had with my pregnancies. Hope you find something to help ya.
My gma told me a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda will make it go away. I am unsure of how it works, but she said it was the only thing that helped her. I haven't tried it because it sounds gross lol.
Lol it's ok. Yea I'm pretty sure these dang babies are just loving using our stomachs as pillows. It doesn't help that the piloric sphincter naturally relaxes with pregnancy. Making indigestion and heartburn worse. :-(
I'm in the same boat as you, tried everything, nothing works. When I changed my diet it kinda helped, but not for too long :( I have to sleep sitting up and it is not comfortable at all :( My doctor said I may have Acid Reflex, but I want to wait until after the baby is born to test for anything to see if it goes away once the baby is born. I believe the baby is causing all mine and I don't want to take any extra medication lol. In my early pregnancy I would eat ice cream or Sherbert (I found the orange sherbert worked pretty well for a while), but only a little bit at a time. It gave my throat and tummy a "cooling" sensation which felt wonderful. Sorry I couldn't be of much more help :(
