I think I'll try the Benadryl lol and the warm bath. I have to be careful with what i eat especially before bed because I've had horrible nasuea and acid reflux. I've just now started to be able to eat again. I defiantly think ill just hasn't to get use to power naps threw out the days to come lol thank you ladies for all your answers. I know I'm not the only one going crazy from not sleeping. :-)
I have never had sleeping problems either and when I got pregnant I had insomnia very bad, I talked to my OBGYN and she said its ok to take benadryl...its been a life saver for me!
For some reason I also got allergies and still have them since I got pregnant I cough n sneeze all day, my doctor said to take claritain I haven't tried it yet, but I do take the benadryl at night and it helps a lot!
(I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow)
I'm 30+2 and I get about two hours of sleep at a time due to aches and pains and the more she moves the more pain I feel. It's just Ur body getting you ready for the baby at least that's what everyone tells me. Sorry I'm no help I take a hot bath everynight it does t seem to make me fall asleep any easier however eating does :)) but that's cause I relax easier when I eat before bed ... I'm just wierd
I've been having trouble sleeping too. I wake up with major back and hip pain and I'm 23 weeks. My midwife said to try a warm bath or shower, warm milk, camomile tea, and calms forte which she says is an herb blend that comes in tea form or in capsules. I've only tried the warm shower because I'm not a fan of tea or warm milk.
I wish I could help you with the whole not sleeping thing. I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and I will sleep maybe 2-3 hours at a time because my hips start to ache and it makes me wake up. I tend to sleep a little longer if I sleep sitting up (with pillows behind me). Also, I noticed if I get up to do my business and pee, I can lay back down and I'll eventually fall back asleep for maybe another hour or two. But hey its something.
Try a warm lettuce bath before bed. I know it sounds weird but its a Mexican tradition. It luls newborns to sleep when fussy. It should work for you to relax you. (:
Warm baths are what did it for me
That happens to me too! Try a warm bath or reading maybe calm music? Hope this helps :)
