Hi!
I was just re-reading the forum, and realized that I typed the wrong name in on the top of the answer above, It probably doesn't make any sense at all to you! Let me answer YOUR question! It is very normal for the heart rate to be high when someone is pregnant. Your heart is pumping 150% of the normal blood volume. You will also notice that it increases rapidly with activity, and that you feel short of breath very easily too.
As long as the rhythm is regular, there isn't much to worry about. Just make sure that you drink lots of fluids, and avoid excess caffiene.
Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Hi!
I'm sorry I answered your question so late, I was trying to find any information that you might not already have. It sounds to me like there may be some problem with the conduction system in the baby's heart. This may be due to immaturity, and could possibly resolve with time. I doubt its a big issue with the placenta--they should be able to evaluate that with doppler ultrasound. The fact that the baby's heart is structurally normal is very reassuring. I think it is just going to be very important to continue to follow up with your doctors while they run the necessary tests to find out what the problem is. I'm sure if there is anything that can be done, they will find a way to do it!
Good luck!
