Im Sick And Pregnant

Is There Anything Safe For Me To Take To Help Cure A Bad Cough? I Am Pregnant And Was Told That There Isn't Much I Can Do. I've Had This Cough For About Two Weeks And Gotten Major Migraines I Think Because Of Coughing Too Much. I've Been Drinking Warm Honey And It Helps For A While But Doesnt Seem To Cure It. Also Just A Few Days Ago I've Been Experiencing Only My Left Thigh To Becoming Numb A Lot, Like Weak And Just An Awkward Feeling. Underneath Left Thigh And Left Foot. What Can That Be From? Does It Have Anything To Do With My Pregnancy?

Thank You Both So Much ! You've Been A Big Help :D

louieforlaughs, yes I felt the same way as you about taking any type of medicine, especially because I don't like the aftertaste of them lol. Last week my bf went to walmart and asked the guy in the parmacy what is okay to take for coughs during a pregnancy and he also said robitussin like (Lovinlifex3) said but I was a bit iffy about it and told him to get more honey lol. He just went out to get me robitussin now haha, thank you :)

if you can find lemon drop hard candies those work nicely. warm water with lemon or honey (like you said) and just generally drinking more to help fluids pass. but pretty much just letting the cold do its thing is the best bet. i always figure a little discomfort on my end is better than potentially hurting baby/drugging baby too. but each person has their limits, so if it gets really bad, i agree wtih lovinlife, go see your doc for something stronger.
the thigh issue could be due to pregnancy, or if you are laying down a lot from being sick. might be a good idea to get up and walk around a bit, see if that helps. might be something good to report at your next doctors visit. if its really bothering you perhaps call and get your next appointment bumped up.

You can take anything tylenol, anything robitussin with out alcohol.... if neither of those work your ob can prescribe something safe for your stage of pregnancy
