Im Sick!!!

I have a bad cough, running nose, and sore throat and I am 7 months pregnant.  What medicines can I take to help get rid or this horrible cold?

Mine said I could only take mucinex. Benadryl and Tylenol.

I just talked to my dr and she did say Tylenol cold is ok to take but you should still call because depending on (tmi) if your snot is green or not it means you havens infection and they'll probably want you to come in.

I'm 6 months along and I've been sick since Sunday. Drinking lots of juice helped the sore throat and I judt started using a vaporizer it really helps loosen up the congestion. And it smells just like Vick vapor rub just is steam. I hope you feel better!

You can also use cough drops - in moderation. My dr had given me a list of approved meds for each ailment. Maybe check and see if your dr has an approved list. No one has to just suffer during pregnancy. Being sick does mean some suffering, but when it starts to interfere with your sleep, eating and breathing, the benefit of an antibiotic out weighs the risks. Plus, many infections are not good for baby and meds are better. Just talk to your dr first or get an approved list from them.

But cold meds are on my no-no list, so I would avoid those for now. Hope you feel better soon. I too am dealing with sickness right now, so I will moan and complain with you. :)

Try drinking lemon tea or lots of orange juice.  Also try asking your doctor what your should take. Hope your feel better.

I thought you were allowed to take bendryl or Tylenol. I would just call your dr and ask. But the best thing is drink lots of fluids, get tons of rest. Have a warm bath. And use a humidifier at night, You can also use vapor rub, and saline spray. Get better

The best thing to take is a Honey and Lemon drink (Homemade) you cant take any medications I dont think. I was told I wasnt allowed!!

Your doc might be able to give you something!
