I have been on Loestrin 24 for 5 years. I love it! Last month however, I went to the dermatologist and she talked me into trying Yasmin for a month due to unpleasant acne around my chin that has been showing up month after month. She said Yasmin was also known as an acne medication and should be comparable to Loestrin (i.e. no mood swings, short periods, etc.). Well, it wasn't. I was a total B***H to everyone, especially my husband. He seemed to have caught most of it, over nothing. My cycle was extremely heavy and longer than my usual 3-4 day cycle I had on Loestrin. I probably should have tried it more than a month. But, I decided to go back to Loestrin and just fork out money on face cream.
I was due to get my period 2 weeks ago and it never arrived. I continued to have unprotected sex while trying the Yasmin because my doctor's office said it would be fine because I was already on the pill. I have been stressed at work the week of my period. I am really thinking that is to blame for me not having a period. And the fact that since Loestrin and Yasmin was not as comparable as what my doctor said could have some reasoning behind my cycle being messed up. Should I test or just wait till next cycle and then be alarmed if I don't get it? I don't have any symptoms except I've been nauseas and cramping, but no bleeding.
I'm worried that i might be pregnant. I had my period on the 13th, and it is currently the 21st. I am dizzy, and my sense of smell is heightened, with this sense of smell, meats and some other foods make me nauseas. I dont have other signs of pregnancy (such as darker nipples, or tender breasts) but i'm still worried none the less. Is it possible that i'm nauseas, and my sense of smell is heightened and i'm not pregnant?
