No insurance

Hello ladies I did IVF and today I got a negative pregnancy test.. we dont have another 12,000$$.
I am so sad but at the same time looking for answers... I want to do it again but we dont have  medical insurance, I wanted to know if anyone know about any health insurance we can buy that will pay for IVF?? I know I might have to wait but I want to start getting information. Also,, anybody know of a fertility clinic that let you do more than one try for 1/2 price or give you any discount if the first IVF  failed?????

I have had 3 friends who had to go thru IVF and none of their insurances covered it....Very sad to know that they cover totally insane procedures, but not this....maddening....Anyway, 1 of my friends got pregnant the 1st try, the others on the 2nd.  My very good friend who is from SC is going thru it this coming March and it's $35,000!  That's b/c both she and her husband have fertility problems!  YIKES!  Anyway, she goes to a clinic in NYC......She's at work now but feel free to email my MedHelp account and I'll ask her the name and number of the place.  She told me that if it doesn't take the 1st time that it will be 50% less each additional time...I'm not sure if that's 'situation specific' but it would be worth a try.

Oh, I kind of need to know a general idea of where you live to help you find someplace to go. It doesn't help you if I find a doc in the Midwest and you live on the West coast or something. You can send it to me privately. If you're not comfortable with that, then best of luck!

Sorry this is happening to you! I just wanted you to know that I saw your post and while I don't have any answers for you, I wish you the best of luck. I'll see if I can find anything for ya via searching the Web, but you have to do the background info (make sure you're going to a reputable place, etc.).
