this is an informative chart that will tell you what cm stages are through cycle.in personal experience and many others have same problem.cm is not always detectable with women, some only notice it if checking cervix, some have very little.you can also experience cm throughout cycle even after ovulation.if your not ttc right now, then by continueing to chart, after couple months you will reconize your cycle, and no when you O,yes charting only tells you when you have ovulated.
and yes if your periods are irregular then ovulation will be.although it will always happen 14-16 days before your period is due.what you can notice by charting is after ovulation your temp stays elevated for up to 16 days max.luteal phase.if it up more than 18 days, with clear indication of ovulation it can mean pregnancy.
Oh in case I forget my appointment is next Wednesday, so if you want, send me a note if I don't send you one first...I'm gonna ask the best ways to check.
I'm going to be asking my OB if they are good enough ways to determine ovulation next Wednesday. I am TTC, well officially we're starting in Nov but not preventing this month. I have an irregular AF, and we ovulate 14 days before AF...BUT you can ovulate later or earlier too...so I have NO CLUE when I ovulate. I'll update you on what the OB says...but for right now I'm just BBTing and OPKs, for this month. They're too expensive to be doing all the time...well they're only $13 for a one week kit here, so I'd be spending $26 a month...that's not that bad. Oh and I'll be doing CM. EWCM looks like what it stands for. Egg whites. It's clear and stretchy.
Checking cervical discharge is one of the best ways to know many things about your body. I used the Creighton Model (you can google their website). It's kind of a boring read but scientific and helpful. I don't spend money on the charts/stickers. I just use a marker and a regular calendar to chart my cycles.
