A period results about 7-10 days AFTER you ovulate and the egg is not fertilized.

There really is so much on the internet about it - just GOOGLE it, not everything is always 100%. But it will give you a fairly good idea.

I have no idea - but looked up on the net for you:-

ANSWER ONE
Since a woman releases an egg 12-16 days before her expected period, it is possible for women to get pregnant without having periods. Women who are not menstruating due to a certain condition (i.e.…low body weight, breastfeeding, perimenopause) risk the chance of ovulating at any point. For those who want to conceive, the lack of periods could make it more difficult to know the timing of ovulation if you are not charting temperature and cervical fluid changes. But if you are not having periods and wanting to prevent pregnancy, a form of contraception should be used since there is no way to know when ovulation will occur.

ANSWER TWO
The two distinctive portions of a woman’s monthly cycle, ovulating and having a period, are not directly related to one another. While each is distinct, and while one does not generally happen while the other is happening, that is where the relationship ends. It is possible to ovulate without having a period. It is also possible to have a period without ovulating. To understand why this is the case, there are things that you will need to understand about having a period, about when you ovulate, and about your monthly cycle in general.

It is significant to consider the timing of ovulation. Ovulation occurs approximately 14 days prior to the start of the next period. This means, for example, if a woman has a regular 28-day cycle, that she will ovulate on or around day 14 of her cycle. On the other hand, if a woman has a typically longer cycle, say for example a 32-day cycle, then she will ovulate later, in this case on the 18th day of her cycle. While the timing is not exact, and can vary from one woman to the next, or even from one cycle to the next, these are rough averages that you can use to start calculating ovulation in relation to your period.

It often happens that a woman will not have a period for one reason or another. Any number of things can cause a woman not to have a period. For example, low body weight can cause a woman to miss periods. In addition, strenuous exercise has also been shown to cause a woman to not have a period. However, during these times that the woman is not having a period, she may very well still be ovulating. Not ovulating is a completely different situation than not having a period, and can be caused by completely different things.

It is important to note that a woman can still become pregnant during her period. If she has a short cycle, and ovulation occurs near her period, the sperm could in theory live long enough to fertilize an egg, as sperm can live for between 3 and 5 days in a woman’s body.
