PROBLEM GETTING A CONFIRMATION PREGNANCY RESULT

I took a pregnancy test july 28th and it came up positive but the problem is that every time I would go to test to confirm the results I would get a negative and yet when I feel the lower portion of my abdomen I feel a fast heart beat that is not mine.I know Im pregnant because I went through the signs and the symptoms and gained alot of weight within a few months after. My question is : Why is it that I keep getting negatives on every test that I was given by  my doctors even though I got a positive result on a pregnancy test???? They won't even give me an ultrasound to really make sure because they put me on Medroxyprogestrone and I dont want to be on that medicine If I am really truely found to be pregnant

I think your symptoms and weight gain are related to the progesterone you are taking as that causes pregnancy type symptoms. Yes there are people that didn't know they were pregnant but when they tested they were not pregnant. I they had tested while pregnant it would be positive. While your sisters case would make sense that the pregnancy hormone wasn't high enough to detect and that happened bc it was not a viable pregnancy hence having a miscarriage.

If you think you are pregnant you should go get a second opinion. Tell them you won't believe them till you have a blood test done (beta hcg draw) that would tell you for sure if you are pregnant. If that says you are not pregnant than you are absolutely not pregnant. I have taken progesterone which is what you are taking right now and it does make you feel pregnant, bloated, weight gain, even nausea and hair and nails growing long and shining!  These are normal symptoms/side effects of the medication. And if you were pregnant the progesterone would not harm your pregnancy it is given sometimes to women who have recurrent miscarriage to help sustain pregnancy.

I've heard of that, but I personally don't believe women that can't know they're pregnant till they're in labour. (this is just me though) It's really rare to not show a positive on a test. Even pregnant you won't feel the babies heartbeat. That's your own blood and pulse. (I used to wonder the same thing when I was pregnant and found out) Symptoms and signs do NOT indicate pregnancy. Many women will experience them and never be pregnant, while you can be pregnant and have none. Sometimes when you either want or are scared of pregnancy you can over-analyze everything in your body. You can also convince yourself you are and your body will start to believe it. If you really think you are, try a free clinic and see if you can get an ultrasound done. If nothing shows then you can speak to your doctor about re-regulating your cycle. If you got a positive once and it was a true positive (not an evap line or a false positive) you should show with no question on every test taken now and it be accurate.

Hi!!!! Thanks for your replies I really appreciate it alot.I was getting sick alot this past summer and every single smell bothered me.I all of a sudden started eating more than I should and I constantly had a nauseated stomach and wicked bad heartburn.I still have the heartburn to this very day.Sorry thats not what I meant. What I meant was the lower part of the abdomen where the uterus is :) I know you can't hear the heartbeat through the stomach. That makes no sense at all I was going through all the signs and symptoms hmmmm. The gynecologist that gave me my pap test couldnt feel where my stomach was.She found that my stomach was moved up a bit.She told me that I may be pregnant but its still a lil early to tell.I could mainly feel a heartbeat in the uterine area.I know tests can be inaccurate sometimes too because my younger sister was tested twice to see If she was pregnant and they ended up being negative. She ended up in the hospital with a miscarriage and she almost bled to death and died.I ended up being 220 lbs when I was weighed in July.when I went to the health center down the street from me I ended up gaining a whole 7 lbs.How do you gain all that within a few months of each other??? I watch this show on cable called I didnt know I was pregnant ok and this is real life woman who never knew they were pregnant because they didnt gain the weight and show the signs and this woman that was on the show got a positive and then after that she would get negatives.she went to the hospital with stomach pains and tried to give her a vaginal ultrasound and it wouldnt go in and the doctor told her that she was pregnant and she kept telling the doctor Im not pregnant because I kept getting negatives on all of my tests that I took while she was going into labor.

I should also mention you cannot feel the babies heartbeat through your stomach it is rare and only can be done when you are approx 8-9 months along. At this point you would be six months pregnant and it would be pretty obvious to everyone that you are pregnant as you would have gained approx 20 pounds or more and all in your tummy.

The progesterone would explain weight gain and lack of AF. It is possible to get a false positive on a pregnancy test. You can get a second opinion but really it sounds like with that many tests being negative that you are indeed not pregnant.
