Period delay!!!

Hello I would like to ask a question about my period. Today its the 9th day that my period delayed. I took a pregnancy test 7 days ago but it was negative. Do I need to take another one? I am 23 years old, nearly 24 and my period never delayed!! It was always on time.. I had unprotected sex with my husband but he never finished inside. Also I took the after day pill twice in 2 or 3 months I can't really remember but not during the same month. Does this have to have anything with it? the last time I took it was 1 or 2 weeks before I was supposed to have my period this month. The first time I took it I had few drops of bleeding the next day and it stopped but when my period came it was very heavy. This time that I took it I didn't have any bleeding and my period never came... Also I was very stressed this month about some exam results that I was waiting for but they came out on the 17th. So after that I wasn't actually stressed. The other thing is that every morning this month I always had warm water with lemon and 2-3 green teas with lemon but I read that lemon can't delay your period it's just a myth. What do I have to do? Is there any chance I may be pregnant? Thank you.

The plan b could mess up your cycle also but I would definitely take another test if I was you

thank you for your reply... as I told Carly above I'll take another pregnancy test to check it out.. Hopefully I didn't mess up everything with the after day pill and its nothing serious...

I agree with the above post - 2 days late just may not be enough for the test to pick up the hog hormone.. some blood tests can't even tell that early. I waited until I was 2 weeks late, mainly b/c I've been 10 days late before.. took a test (negative), then my period started that very night. stress is a killer.. lol

anyway, that day after pill is really bad for you.. especially taking 2 so close together. it probably has your cycle all out of control. if nothing changes within the next couple of weeks I'd probably visit the doctor just in case.

I don't have a lot of faith in those pills.. it could have not FULLY kept the pregnancy from progressing.. idk, I just don't trust them. good luck, and I hope you get some answers soon!!

Pulling out does not work - you can still get pregnant that way. Since you tested when you were only 2 days late, then I would saying testing again would be wise just to rule out pregnancy.

If it's negative, then I would say it's likely taking the emergency contraception has messed with your cycle - making it delayed. That pill is pretty bad for your body, and so the fact that you have taken it twice in as many months isn't going to be good for your body.
