Postpartum anxiety

Today I was diagnosed with postpartum anxiety. I was wondering if anyone else was proscribed Prozac for this and if it helped?! Would like to see the light at the end of this dreadful tunnel.  

I also posted this in the forum but noticed no one has posted in there since July so I thought I would get a better response here. Hopefully

I am on prozac 20mg I started it about a month ago I am now 37weeks and it has helped a lot!!! I am bi polar with social anxiety and the meds I was on I can not take while prego I tried to hold out as long as I could but I was starting to get some very negative thoughts and talked to my doc he said to take this and when I start breast feeding he is gonna switch me to something else but it has been very effective for me I feel so much better I don't cry near as much and I'm back to loving myself my baby and his father if u have any questions inbox me anytime I will try to help good luck hun!

I was taking lexapro before I found out I was pregnant . Everyones body reacts diff to meds , hope it helps you . I have severe anxiety so I know how you feel ...
