I just had an IUI on Fri. morning and have questions regarding my numbers.
On Mon., I had my u/s and E2 levels. showed a few follies, 1 mature. E2 was 908 and
LHLh blood test
Lh urine test (home test) was 8. Mon night, my OPK's were BARELY starting to get that second line showing.
On Tues, my OPK's were a

Little tummys darker, but still not positive. I had a ganirelex shot to stave off ovulation (we hope!)
On Wed, had another u/s. Showed 4 mature follies. E2 was 1284. P4 was 1.3. OPK's were much lighter, because of ganirelex. I triggered 9:30

Relieving pms, Thursday afternoon/pm and Friday after the IUI I had pretty good

Friday, had the IUI at 10:30 am. P4 was 11!
So, Does this progesterone level of 11 on day of IUI mean the ganirelex did not work and I actually ovulated between Wed afternoon & Fri morning? How fast can progesterone levels rise? (it was 1.3, then 48 hours later, 11). Is ganirelex
effectiveEffective strength cough syrup if the LH/OPK is already "starting" to fade in but not positive? Are the cramps indicators of ovulation or from the IUI? Will the trigger overpower the progesterone level and still release the mature follicles (if any were left) on Friday (36 or so hours from trigger)? Does the P4 only begin to surge AFTER ovulation, or is there a mini-surge before? (Most of what I've read says after, but 1 article said it can surge b-4)
We are terribly worried about our IUI timing, ovulation and the P4 levels, as I am 37 and have read the older you are, the less time it takes for the egg to disentegrate. We have no known fertility issues (besides working on 15 months to TTC #2. DD is 22 months old), so this is an extra whammy for us. I LOVE information and have scoured the internet for any insight and have not seen anything specifically addressing IUI & P4 levels at time of IUI/ovulation and what all this means to us. Any insight and depth from you wonderful doctors will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you! G~
