Pumping &alcohol.

So I'm wondering how long alcohol takes to get out of your system? So I can pump enough breast milk for "x" amount of days before my milk is good again.

It depends on how.much you drink. I was told I can have one beer or a 8 oz glass of wine and not have to pump and dump and also the strips can be unreliable this is what my doctor told me

Buy the alcohol test strips for testing breastmilk there fairly cheap and its better then guessing all u do is pump dip the test strip and it reads if there is any alcohol In your milk or not they sell them at target baby's r us and online

There's a lot of controversy on this but I was told once you're sober the alcohol is out of your system and out of your milk so pumping and dumping is pointless. I've also heard that the amount of alcohol in your milk isn't enough to effect your baby when you do drink because it does into your body and say your blood alcohol content is .08 which is the legal limit then the amount in your milk would only be a very small percentage of that. I would talk to a person who knows more though before making a decision...
