Question about symptoms- what were your first signs?

What were your first symptoms and signs that you were pregnant and how soon did you feel them?  I know everyone is different so I thought I'd ask here!  Thanks in advance!!

Oh yea another symptom I've noticed yesterday and today is a metallic taste in my mouth--it's really weird.  I doubt that has ANYTHING to do with pregnancy...

Thanks..I'm not due until the 20th but I've been having symptoms I don't usually get or don't get this soon before.  I figure I ovulated around the 6th....and since Sunday I've had extremely sore nipples (I've had them sore before--but never this sensitive), light cramping, bloated feeling, dizziness, nausea, crabby (which is normal a week before my period..lol) and headaches.  Today the cramping felt different..I can't quite explain it..maybe like a tugging feeling-I think.  I've also been more hungry-which can happen before my period.

It just stinks that with having been trying for about 2.5 yrs my mind is playing tricks on me...it's just down right evil.  The things we woman have to deal with!

Thanks Again to All!

Well with my first pregnancy (I misscarried at 7 weeks), the only thing that was noticable was the bloatedness and the avoidance to anything chicken.  Which was terrible for me because I LOVE chicken.  Oh ya there was the fact that I only bleed for a day and it was like implantation bleeding(dark brownish-red)  Oh well I guess... but other than that there wasn't anything else that would have clued me into taking a test sooner.

With this pregnancy... I will tell you it was compleatly different.  The last period I had was Nov. 28th 2008, I got pregnancy around Dec. 10-15th, 2008 and literly about a week after that I started to be HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!!  And I was like wtf is up with this, I had about 8 hours of implantation bleeding(the dark brownish-red blood) then around the 28th of Dec. my nails started to get harder(I know this sounds rediculous, but my nails were always very thin and very flimsy), soon after that I was like Hummm... I wonder.  Then around the first-second week of Jan 2009 I tested and got my BFP!!!!  And about a week after that it all went down hill... I mean I was nausous, tired, sore boobs to the max, bloated like a whale... and just over all ugly!  Any who those are what I felt, however, I know that it's different for every person.  So good luck and loads of baby dust to you!

With DS, DH and I weren't trying, so I didn't realize that what I was experiencing was due to being pregnant...

About a week before AF was due, I started having very sore and enlarged breasts, cramping (I thought it was my period), the occasional wave of nausea and sore stomach muscles.  I was 2 weeks late for AF - very unusual for me...but, like I said, we weren't trying so that's why it never occurred to me to test earlier - before I took a HPT, which was  clear BFN, 2 dark lines!  I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!

My first symptom was at 7 dpo......My gums were bleeding while brushing my teeth.  Same thing when I was pregnant with DD.  That's when I knew to take a test.  I was also very sleepy.  If felt as though I could have been getting sick.......that's never went away!

Oh yeah, I did have a lot of cervical mucous as well (as another commenter stated they had) when AF was due.

I would feel a little nauseaus in the am when I would first get up, but nothing too bad not feeling like i had to throw up, just queasy.  Then when I would brush my teeth I would gag.  I also used to eat instant oatmeal at work every morning & all of a sudden one day I couldn't handle to texture of it.  I would take one bite & have to spit it out.  Then came the tender boobs.  & a missed period a few weeks after that so I decided to take the hpt & voila.   BFP!!!

With my dtr, the first sign was larger, very sore, tender breasts.

With this pregnancy, it was brown implantation bleeding.  Never experienced such bleeding before so I knew something was up.

During  my 3rd week of pregnancy, I had this persistent headache that just wouldn't go away. Then the day of my missed period I had slight cramping and a lot of bloating, oh and a whole lot of cervical mucus.

Thanks for your replies!  I appreciate it.  I was just trying to figure out if it's a common thing for people to get symptoms before they even miss a period...or if it's the mind playing evil games...

I couldn't eat certain foods that I normally eat all the time just days before I got my BFP - it almost seemed as though my body was rejecting the food.  A few weeks after getting a BFP my boobs got really sore and then everything kicked in full force... nausea... fatigue....

I didn't really have symptoms that I noticed except in retro-spect, if that makes sense. Basically I didn't realize I even had symptoms until I looked back and went, "Ohhh... well that's why I felt that way!"

With my first, it was major bloating. I went to try on new pants at a store and my size were snug. I was bummed, thinking I gained weight. Nope, I was pregnant.

With my second pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) I didn't have symptoms.

With my third pregnancy I also don't remember symptoms. I remember taking the test, thinking it'd be negative and when it came out positive I FREAKED! I was so excited. My second daughter was born full term and healthy, after having had a miscarriage.

With my fourth pregnancy I felt crampy but didn't really think I was pregnant this time either. I miscarried again.

With my current pregnancy I had NO symptoms. I was just testing to make sure I wasn't pregnant because of my exercise regimen (it was pretty intense) and needed to know as early as possible to help prevent another miscarriage.

So as you can see, I didn't really have any symptoms with them and was always shocked to get a BFP.
