Rollercoasters and TTC/2WW

Quick question ladies.  So I believe that I'm ovulating within the next few days since I just got a lot of EWCM.  This makes sense since AF is set to come June 6 assuming that my cycle is back on track.  My dillema is, that my husband and I were planning to go the Busch Gardens June 6 for our anniversary.  Sooooo, if I did conceive this month (this weekend) then that would put me at 4 weeks pg.  Is going on the roller coasters then going to affect me?? I m/c'd in December and don't want to go through that ever again.  We haven't made any reservations for anything b/c we live 2 hours away, so it isn't a big deal to cancel the plans.  Any advice???

I know I can test in 7-8 days, but I will probably test on our anniversary just because it would be awesome to tell my husband that day if I get a BFP! But...if it's negative and AF doesn't show for another week then I'll test.  Last time I tested like 2 days late I got a BFN and didnt' test anymore then ended up m/c'ing 3 weeks later.  My husband understands, because I told him if I am going to m/c again I wouldn't want it to be on mind that it was from a rollercoaster (even if it were to happen regardless of that) - I think that would make me feel worse...I am going to call my OBYGN and see what he says, but I think we are going to have to change our plans.  I don't want to jump the gun and assume I'm going to get a BFP, but I also don't want to take any chances.  Thanks everyone!!

I was in the same dilemna and I ended up canceling my plans just to be safe!  I mc in December and I would NEVER want to feel that something I did would cause me to do it again...we were so careful last time and I will be careful this time too.  Good luck and hoipefully you'll get a bfp and that would be the best anniversary gift of all!

Thanks everyone! I know me and hubby were talking about it last night and he did recommend her go on the kiddie rides instead, but he said he understands that I don't want to jeopardize anything.  We live 2 hours from Busch Gardens and 3 1/2 hours from Orlando, so he said we could even go to Orlando instead and just walk around City Walk or find something to do in Orlando.  Thanks everyone, I think I am now in the 2 WW so we'll see!!!

if you're too worried, i say book a room, just for 2 nights, and spend the weekend in bed!!!!! get some sparkling grape juice(ugh lol), some strawberries, and don't concentrate on babies, do the BD, and who knows, maybe you'll be back telling us you "romanced" yourself into pregnancy lol.....there are a few b&b's down in florida that are really nice! and rathern than a mo-mo or hotel, it's more romantic lol.....

Funny story.. I am now in my 2ww ( i think) or might still be in ovulation stage. Darn OPK want show up but CM is there. But back to the story, I went with my son on his kindergarden field trip to a local theme park (tweetsie rr) and never have been sick on rides before so i thought what the heck, got on the ferris wheel and was so nauseated (sp?) it was pathetic. It makes me think that i might allready be pregnant and thats why the tests didnt show up, but go and have fun and Happy Anniversary!! :o) Hugs

i wouldjust say avoid anything that goes upside down for more than a couple seconds! idky, but to me, going upside down makes me think something could happen! but i asked my mom again, and she hates coasters, but says she has ALWAYS ridden the kiddie coasters even when 6 or so mos along! cos she'd have a lil fun, but they barely go faster than the normal speed limit lol.....oh and welived in florida till 1990, i was born in 83, brother in 87, and she said she's been to bush gardens almost as much as the grocery store lol!!!

Honestly I think the reason they worry about rides in pregnancy is the fact that some of them jostle you around. but  considering most women don't even find out til they're 5-6weeks pregnant and they drink, do drugs, and go to theme parks ....

I think your safe.
personally I say enjoy, and have fun!

I'd just wait and see if you get a BFP before then but if you do then I wouldn't got to ride the rides...and you would be 4 weeks so they say the first 12 weeks are the most critical but just use your own judgement....

Thank you for your comment joy...I guess I am more worried about not attaching properly and I really don't want to jeopardize anything...my mom told me it shouldn't be a big deal but to call my gyno if i'm concerned.  Plus, I love going on rides so it's not like I'll chicken out - I want to go on them all!

If you conceived this weekend, you would only be considered 2 weeks pregnant. And I don't think roller coasters would have any adverse affects this early in pregnancy whatsoever.

I say, go have fun! Who knows? You may end up pregnant and not get a chance to do it again. I say that because as a mom, I will not go on rides like that anymore for fear of something happening. So have fun!!!
