Should there be concern?

I think this question may be better suited for the "birth control" forum, but no posts seem to have been made since September. I would appreciate if someone could answer here or refer me to the proper person and forum.

My girlfriend decided to stop taking birth control because it was causing her anxiety. She finished off her pack for December and had her period. On the last day of her period and sugar pills we had sex briefly. I did not ejaculate in her or at all. She decided to not start the next months pills the day after. What kind of pregnancy risk does this pose? would she be ovulating that quickly after stopping the pill?

Hi!
Anything can happen when it comes to pregancy, but the chances are low that she conceived on this cycle.  If she has a normal period at the end of the month, you are probably safe.  Since she is no longer taking her pills, you will need to come up with some other form of contraception though.  Plan B (emergency contracpetion) can be an excellent alternative until you come up with a regular form of birth control.
Good luck!

It was on the very last pill that we did. No she is not going to be taking her pills this month.

If you had sex while on the sugar pills (the white fake pills) then she should be fine. It takes a few weeks for the effects of the birth control to fully exit her body. I dont think she is pregnant. Has she started taking the daily pills again?
