This time round, my sickness is not as bad as it was with my other four pregnancies. Should i worry?

Hello, I am new to this site.

With my other four pregnancies, my "all day sickness" Was horrid! So bad i could not keep anything down! With my 2 year old, when i was pregnant with him, the doctors had to give me tablets to stop the sickness.
Now i am almost 7wks pregnant, and my sickness is not that bad at all. I feel a little sicky throughout the day, and some foods do make my tummy turn! But, thats about it! Is this normal? I am worried ofcourse, as i did have a couple of miscarriages, so i am worried it might happen again!

Any advice is greatful thankyou

Lack of symptoms does not necessarily indicate something is wrong, especially if you have seen a healthy hb.  There are a few fortunate women who do not experience the typical pregnancy symptoms.  Consider yourself fortunate that you are bowing to the porcelain god for most of the day.  BEsides, it's still early, mornign sickness could very well hit at any given time.  Enjoy the lack of it while you can :)

I had the same question but mainly because this is my first pregnancy.  I had not had any horrible nausea and absolutely no vomiting.  Somedays I get sick in my stomach but not that much.  My breasts are tender but not horrible.  I am a little over 7 weeks and thought I would be getting more symptoms.  I don't know whether to be worried or not.  I did have an ultrasound last week which showed a heartbeat of 143 so I think that's the only thing that makes me feel ok with everything.

Hi there!
Yes, i guess every pregnancy is different then. I too, have less stress with this pregnancy, so maby thats why i do feel different! apart from the sicky feeling, i feel tired alot, urinate alot more, breasts sore. So maby all will be fine.

Thanks, i feel abit better knowing i am not the only one out there that feels different with this pregnancy. Hope all goes well with you too! :-)

I can totally relate to you on the sickness. I am due April 22 and this is my fourth. My first three were horrible pregnancies. I was sick on a daily basis until I delivered and with my last two they had to give me perscription nausea meds that I had to take daily to try to prevent me from throwing up. I also had problems with kidney stones to top it all off. I had to take lortab every day almost until the end. And with my third I was in the hospital 6 times. Well when I found out I was pregnant with this one, I was dreading it. I just started my new job at the hospital and everything. I did get sick for the first 6 months, but not everyday. Usually just at night, some days were better then others. I have only had problems with my kidney stones 2 times. As of now, I haven't been sick since Feb. Only problem is I feel so tired all the time. So, I guess every pregnancy is different. I also have a lot less stress with this one also. I think that helps too. Anyway. Just thought I would share this. Keep us updated. I hope all goes well for you!!

Thankyou.

I havent had any bleeding at all, which is good! I have had a few cramps, but nothing major. Spoke to midwife other week and she said cramps are normal (as long as no bleeding accurs) I am 100% sure of when i concieved, i marked it in diary lol and worked out due date myself and midwife came up with the same. I started to feel sicky wk 5, i suppose i should be greatful i am not dangling over the toilet every minuite. On the other hand, it is still worrying wether miscarriage will happen. I guess i will just have to hope and pray my pregnancy will be fine!

Thankyou again!

Lack of symptoms can indiciate a problem (if coupled with other signs) but lack of symptoms by itself does not indicate there is a problem.  For example, if you have experienced bleeding in conjuction with lack of MS, it MIGHT (BIG MIGHT) indicate a threatened miscarraige.  But if you are having no other symptoms its probably not cause for worry.  Every pregnancy and every woman is different.  I am on my 8th pregnancy and I can tell you there are definately differences to every one of them.  At 7 weeks, especially if you aren't 100% positive on your conception date, it may be too early for MS to have kicked in.  This time aruond mine didn't rear it's ugly head until around the 7th week, but with other pregnancies it was early or later or not really at all.   I have had 2 miscarriages and with both of those there were other indications of sometihng wrong (spotting/bleeding and cramping).  Our bodies change with each pregnancy and just becuase you had a symptom with your other pregnancies does not mean you will have it again this time....and you may find  you get symptoms this time you have never had before.  That's happening to me this time aruond.
