Travel during first three months of pregnancy

by SAUD, Jun 26, 2009 12:47PM
Hi ,

My wife is only 7 weeks of pregnant , so sometimes weekly once she needs to do road travel by bus or train for 11/2 to 2hrs. Is it really harmful for early time of pregnancy? ( first three months ) . becasue she is working lady.

Please advice or suggest.

Regards
Saud

HI!
There is no problem with travel in early pregnancy.  At least no harm to the baby.  It may be miserable for your wife, if she is experiencing any nausea and/or vomitting.  If she must travel to get to work, and if she must work, there is not a lot to do!  The baby won't suffer any harmful consequences, and your wife will probably figure out how to pack a snack, or whatever is necessary to help her feel OK while she's traveling.

Good luck and congratulations!
