Twins?
I am 13 weeks pregnant and very confused, i had bleeding early in my pregnancy. and yesterday out of no where i had some gushing of blood and fluid. Baby is completely ok, today we went for another checkup and the dr is seeing part of a second sac that has not been detected before.. Is it possible that i could have one twin hidden behind the other. I mean i would think that we would hear a second heartbeat. i just confused any advice would be helpful. Also the dr. said that there is no sign that the other sac had another twin in it, and there was never anything said about it before today.
thank you both, we went back to the dr today, and what he thought was another amniotic sac was some blood... i have a hemotoma of some kind, something like a bruised uterus
IT couldve been another baby, but that your already 13 wks without that second heartbeat, its likely your only having one.
It IS possible that another baby was hidden. It could be that there was another twin, but it didn't continue to develop, explaining why the HB wasn't detected...it could also explain your bleeding.
