I'd imagine that the reason her doctor did the Depo Shot is that it's good at actually stopping your cycle, and probably assumed neither of you wanted children at the time. To get pregnant you need to ovulate, and by stopping your period you have to first stop ovulation. If you both had wanted to conceive, there would have been no reason to stop her menstrual cycle.

The way Depo works is that it can take 6-12 months to leave the system, and some women take months before their cycles will re-regulate. This doesn't hold true for all women though. Depo lasts for 3 months, which means it just recently wore off. There's not really anything you can do as of yet, as there's no medicines that will speed the process up. She needs to learn when she ovulates and then if she is, you both need to have sex on her fertile days. Don't expect her to fall pregnant immediately though. For a healthy couple to conceive it can take upwards of 2 years to fall pregnant, and less than 50% will fall pregnant in the first 6 months.

I think the best thing u can really do is just keep trying to get your wife pregnant. Like one of the above posters said "it has most likely worn off by now. " I highly suggest that the next time your wife wants to get something done she should do her research on what's being done to her. I wish u the best of luck hopefully u can be a daddy soon

It sounds like Depo-Provera...Take a look at the link the above poster gave you. It will give you all the info you need. FYI Her chances of getting pregnant on the depo are VERY slim..It is normal for her not to get her period on the depo. That's what it does..I was on it for 4 yrs..Don't be nervous, just do your research on it...I must say, her Dr should've told her what he was giving her as an injection. Was she not informed before he gave it to her?

More than likely she was given depo provera.....if she hasn't gotten the needle again since Feb then it's more than likely worn off by now.
