Vitamin B6 for nausea?

Hi, I am 9w 4days along, and like most of you have bad nausea and vomiting. My doc gave some sapmle pills which didn't help at all, but she said Vitamin B6 helps too. I got the vitamin from Target up and up brand, but before taking it I read the label and it was saying that it's not intended for pregnant women, I am a little confused... I probably should trust my doc but I am a little afraid, maybe I should get different brand? I don't think the brand will change vitamin content...does anyone take vitamin B6 for nausea, does it really help?

Thanks ladies:) no it is not as horrible as you described above, I vomit one or two times a day a few hours after eating, the rest of the time I feel very nauseated. It's just different than my first pregnancy. Just was hoping there will be something that could help...oh well, survived 5-6 weeks already will survive the rest, hopefully it will go away in couple of weeks, I know it doesn't go away for some people but I hope I am not one of them:) Thanks everyone for your responses, I will keep taking it.
Good luck with your babies!

I have hypermesi... witch i am understanding is just a horrible case of morning sickness, and let me tell you its hell... got admitted to the hospital due to not being able to keep even water down... i have lost a total of 25 lbs since getting pregnant... not ao good... but now i am home, at 18+1 and my doctor has had me on a mix of zofran witch is super expensive so i hear, along with vitamin b6 and unisom... sounds crazy but it helps!!!! Also i now take an ant-acid and higher dose of zofran... i hate to tell ya but its not a permanent fix i still get sick from time to time.. but it does indeed help!! Best of luck!

Be on the look out for too much nausa and vomiting that may be signs of hypermesis. I suffer from it really bad with my previous pregnancies and I'm praying that I won't with this one but its too soon to tell. Neway ask your doc about it and treatments . I was told by someone who suffered the same thing that there is more treatments and help for it now. When I had my son 7yrs ago it wasn't.... I hope thats not the case and blessings :)

b6 helps regulate hormones, i used b50 to lengthen my luteal phase when trying to conceive. i would say perhaps look at a lower dose, perhaps the stuff you got was b100? and that is why there is a warning. having too much can cause shakiness cause its a nerve vitamin. so if you got the 100's try splitting them in half maybe? your doctor did suggest it so give it a shot. also, when you feel you are done with them slowly come off them. like take one every other day or split the pill again if you can. and don't freak out, its water soluble so it'll change the color of your urine.
i suggest taking it with juice cause mine didn't taste good. also, i have morning sickness and peppermints really seem to help me, perhaps they may help you too. : )
best of luck!!!
