I liked "What to expect when you're expecting" and "Girlfriends guide to pregnancy"
I think I may get "Belly Laughs" this time around just for fun.
I really like "Your pregnancy week by week" Glade B Curtis, better than what to expect when you are expecting, b/c it is more detailed and has better photos.
Also - not really pregnancy but "The Happiest baby on the block" is a good one - talks about dealing with fussy infants and a theory on how to handle colicky babies - very good.
I loved the book " I'm Pregnant" by Dr. Lesley Regan. It is written with all the mommy worries, and has real photos, almost creepy, of conception and gestation. I loved it.
Great thanks ladies! I'll be sure to check them out!
The Mother of All Pregnancy Books is a good one to read before pregnancy.
Here is a link to one of the books I have on that list,
http://www.doulashop.com/products/labor-essentials/pregnancy-childbirth-newborn-book.html
it's only $13.88
A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy is really funny...I'm not positive about how accurate it is, since I haven't been pregnant, but a bunch of my friends read it and said it was good...I read it and it was really funny as well as informative..
I really like
You & your baby PREGNANCY- your ultimate wweek-by-week pregnancy guide, Dr Laura Riley
I have several books and then checked a few out at the liabrary one day and this by far has been the best one...actually i have to return tomorrow, but am planning on taking it out again in a few week to het me through the end of the pregnancy
What to expect when your expecting
AND if you want a laugh and some light hearted reading, I ready Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. I finished it in one night and laughed out loud! It is her experience so it just gives you some real life info and experience on pregnancy and things that other people don't really talk about...It is not a medical book. I read reviews on Amazon and some people were disappointed with the 'surface' knowledge BUT it is meant to be a humorous take on the crazy things that happen in pregnancy.
What to expect when expecting.
Baby and me.
Pregnancy, CHildbirth and the Newborn The complete Guide
If your going to breastfeed, there are some really good breastfeeding books, i'll get back to you on the name though my book I have to pull out of a box. It goes into great detail on latching problems, and all that. I believe it's A Mother's Guide to Breastfeeding
I know if you call your dshs office, they have a list of 10 books to read during pregnancy, they can give you that list, or call your hospital, they can recommend some.
