What to Expect?

Found out Thursday before last after taking a pregnancy test that day, and then another Friday morning, both positive. Started prenatals already and have an appointment Tuesday. What should I expect from the first appointment?

Also, does anyone else get sick from the prenatals?

FTM.

Same here Queen_Nisha. I think I'll be more relaxed once I see the doctor. Until then everything scares me. Haha. I think I'll check out that book as well, because I've read just about anything and everything on the internet. As for the gummy vitamins, I think I'll seriously be checking those out because everyone I know has told me that it's probably my best way to go since these pills are tending to get me sick.

Lol I had to take another just to confirm it, but my first appointment is Monday.hopping I'm far along enough to hear the baby's heart beat

I takw mine at 5pm.  Thanks. According to going by my last cycle, I'd be due November 9th, but what's difficult for me is I'm preeeetttty sure I'm due a bit later. My cycles are and have always been irregular. I was beginning to think it was impossible to ever even get pregnant. Until now. Surprise! So I'll know for sure on Tuesday....I'm hoping.

Try not too worry so much it's not good for the baby i know it's easier said then done when you go to the doctors just tell him everything that's on your mind. And yes try what doulamommy suggested if that doesn't work them switch to gummys . I was extremely nervous before my first visit but once you see your baby and hear the heartbeat everything else just disappears it's an experience that will be with you forever it's incredible!(:

You could try taking them right before bed. That's helped me a lot this time as far as getting sick with them. Congrats! When are you due?

Thanks. I'm thinking I'll probably switch to gummies as well. Because these pills make me really sick. Not vomiting but I'll get nauseated and weak and I'll have to sit like that for like two hours. I'm a little nervous.....okay, a lot of nervous. Everything is going through my head. Like how can my family health history affect me with my baby. What can possibly go wrong. My brain will get the best of me. I'm trying my best to be positive.

My first appointment was a simple vaginal sonogram depending on your doctor they may do a whole hour long visit, like do a breast exam papsmere measurements and just explain what to expect in the future. What you can and cannot eat, do, and take for certain issues such as heartburn, constipation, headaches etc. my visit for that is Tuesday so I'm waiting but i know that's what my doctor said is going to happen that visit. And yes for the prenatals i would vomit everything i ate at times even the vitamin. But i learned from one of the women on here to take vitafusion ptenatals they are gummy but work really well i don't get sick at all! Your doctor may prescribe you with some. I also had to take blood the first visit.. Other than that, that's pretty much it besides your height and weight and blood pressure.
