I did a pregnancy test on sat evening and it was positive. Am worried as I drank a lot on the Friday evening, will this be ok, it won't have done any damage ? Also have been feeling really nauseous and had cramps, is this normal ? Think I am about 4 weeks pregnant. Thanks Sarah x

I think this must happen to alot of people who are not planning a baby, you just carry on as normal, doing the normal things we do, but you've absolutely done the right thing by stopping now your pregnant. I was still smoking on the day i done a test, smoked all day then done the test in the evening on hubbys request!  You and your baby will be fine. And period like cramps are completely normal during early pregnancy. I had them really badly with this pregnancy.

Yes, very common to have period like cramps. I had them SO bad with my son, unless it's severe or accompanied by bleeding, cramps are normal. It means your uterus is stretching to grow with your baby.

im not sure. every pregnancy is different...i had no signs of being pregnant for either pregnancy...i just had a missed period and that was it lol...no sickness, no tiredness, no sore breasts....i think these "symptoms" people have, no one can determine if thats actual pregnancy bc i could have gone up to like 25 weeks with out even knowing lol...the only thing i noticed was kicks and a baby bump...thats the only reason why i knew the first time. haha

Of course have stopped drinking ! Went to my gp today who said to make an initial  appointment with midwife. My period was due yesterday however I took the pregnancy test on sat as had been feeling sicky and headache.  I used the digital clear blue test which estimated I am 2-3 weeks . Just wanted reassurance really, btw I'm in the UK x

I didnt find out i was pregnant until i was 19weeks.... in the time i was pregnant and didnt know i had been out drinking 3 or 4 times, id been smoking like a chimney, riding roller coasters and lots of other things that u are told not to do when pregnant!!! I was very concerned but the midwife put me at ease, she said that the baby is much stronger than we think and my scan confirmed that everything was fine x
