Yep....What everyone else said.  I have been charting for the past year on FF to avoid pregnancy.  We got pregnant on purpose in December.  I still have a young child at home and get up all the time in the middle of the night with her.  Never had any problems.

It won't affect your temperatures that much.  But just to make sure that you have all your bases covered, just make a note on the mornings that you got up to go to the bathroom...  I'm not sure how you are keeping record, but you could just circle the temperature everytime you went to the bathroom (or something along that line).  That way you know.

Hi, my book said 3 hours of sleep before checking your temp. like findinghumility i charted for 3 years in order to not get pregnant and there were times i got up and it was ok. i recommend the book taking charge of your fertility.

Ok. So you are right that you should get about 5 hours a night at least for an accurate reading.  Ideally you should sleep for 3 of those hours in a row before taking a temp however I have temped for 6 years now (to avoid or achieve pregnancy) and I almost always get up around 5 or 6 am and then temp at 8:30 am.  The big thing is not to eat, drink, or exercise prior to temping.  So bottom line is NO.  It shouldn't effect your temp to just get up and go to the bathroom and come back and go to sleep again until your normal temp time. Good luck!
