birth control

Has anyone ever had the implant birth control in their arm? Considering getting on the type of birth control.. opinions on it? Also I'm very worried about the process of getting it put in/ taken out. Does it hurt?

I'm going in to get one put in this week! I've heard only positive things about it for the most part!(: I've also heard that it doesn't hurt at all getting taken out or put in! My mom works in a clinic and she told me that when they inject it, it's almost just like a little IV tube that they shoot through and of course they use lidocaine to numb the area!

I had it and it worked well! I had no periods with it and it did its job as a birth control! The process of getting/removing isn't bad. The bruise is worse than the actual pain! I would recommend it

I had 2 implants and they are for me will have another when I've had baby. It wasn't painful getting it in or out. As they use local anesthetic. That's the painful part when they inject you with that. It was brilliant not having to remember to take anything. I had irregular periods only downside was I never knew when it was going to come. I'd go months without one. When I did it was really light. They not for everyone though. In the last year I did start to bleed a lot more so they changed it. And went back to normal x

I've heard great things about it. A couple of my coworkers have it and I've too seen the bruises but that's really no big deal to me if it works for three years and no period ! They take it out the same way they put it in lol.

Both of my sisters have it and they said its not as bad as it seems you just get a pretty nasty bruise and can feel the rod in your arm but after awhile you dont notice it
