bleeding,sore and or swollen gums in early preg.

i have been having these gum aches..leaded me too the dr..i got antibiotics just in case of infection..they told me o get to a dentist..but they do not see nething/..i was looking online trying to find help.and i saw it was a preggo symp...did ne of u have it.?

Hi faith! I started today to so it will be off to the doctor for my first u/s for this on Tuesday (which just happens to be my bday!) So hopefully things turn out well for you! PS my gums always bleed when I am preggo or hormone crazy!

thanks alot ladies..but af have  arrived i believe..tmi but used a qtip...n shes comin on down..lol..told bf dats it for this yr.2010 i will try...but again like last month no signs of it...so far af is up far.im just waiting for her real appearance

That is totally a pregnancy symptom!  I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have been having bleeding gums since pretty early on.  Both when I floss, and even when I'm just brushing (and I'm not brushing hard).  I had this with my first pregnancy as well - it's completely normal, something to do with the increased blood volume/flow.

I don't currently have babies, so can't speak for myself, but in one of my conception books, they do talk about it as a symptom because it can inflame the gums.
