Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that while no tests are perfect, the ultrasounds now a days are pretty good. Even in an obese patient, it is hard to miss a twin. We do have an occassional surprise, but if you 19 week anatomy scan STILL shows only one baby--there probably is only one baby.
Good luck!

I was said it twins on first ultrasound just 8 weeks, also level of hcg was almost double high. Mine babies were easy to see on ultrasound from beginning. One is near bladder and one near stomach. Now it is 20 weeks, but i took 9 kg it is not very much or little, so it is not a symptom.
It can happen thsts what hapoened to me my dr checked and said it was only one cause I had twins before so when I went for my 5 month ultrasound the tech said its gonna take longer cause there is another baby there I was shocked
I have the same thing going on! I'm only 19 weeks but I look at least 25 weeks pregnant.
It happens a lot. Just prepare youself four twins if u only get one then u can spoil rotten
My pulse was checked too and they did not match mine and the placenta was heard too and did not match either. In the US it showed one large baby and one really large placenta beneath it and surrounded by a ton of fluid.
