can't see the baby in the sack

I am not sure how far along I am yet, but yesterday I bled, it only lasted yesterday, they checked my cervix and it was closed, my hcg levels were in the 11000's they said, and they said they could see a sack in my uterus, but no baby, should I be concerned?  I may only be about 5 weeks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I have read your subsequent posts, so I know that things have progressed well for you.
It is so nerve wracking now that we know about pregnancy so early.  At 5 weeks it would be unusual to see very much especially on an ER scan.  At 6-7 weeks, you should see a fetal pole, yolk sac and heart beat. It is quite likely that you had a subchorionic bleed, and in your case, it will probably heal (similar to the way a bruise heals ) and all well go well.
Congratulations!
Dr B

Hey! I am going through this same thing and I was told I needed a dnc. I refused and waited longer. I  made them retest my levels and check ultrasound again. I am now 9weeks 2days pregnant and everything looks good.

I had a similar experience with my son who is now 4,at 7 weeks I bled profusely for 3 hours, then it stopped, blood tests showed that I was at high risk for miscarrying. Everything ended up ok, and I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy and a beautiful baby boy :) So keep you chin up girls :)

I feel better after seeing the baby, I am still spotting here and there, but I know now how mormal that really is.  The doc informed me that I just need to live and not worry about it, so far everything looks perfect, so I am leaving it in God's hands and praying for the best.  I truely believe that all will be fine!

i just went through the exact situation it is stressful when they don't see anything i am 8wks and had my first a/s at 4wks and again at 6weeks and for both nothing and i asked my doctor to request a transvaginal  a/s and bam as soon as they started there was the baby! i had started spotting and cramping before the a/s i believe it was stress which is the worst thing for an early pregnancy itis the number one cause of miscariage.so stay as sress free as possible the most important thing is getting our babies here safely and not to early!! take care!!

I have had a little more spotting, I did the urine test and blood test today, but I don't go back until 10:30 so I just have to wait and see what they say when I do.  I am praying everything is ok and you are in my prayers as well!  I am just so excited to have this baby so you know.  I just have the feeling that everything will be ok!  By the way, my name is Deonza.

Thank you I did add you, I also lost a tube and the one I have is damaged which is why I was told I would only get pregnant by invitro.  I was told I had a miscarriage in 2006 and turned out it was etopic.  She had told me to take a midol or motrin and see her in the morning, had I listened I would be dead now.  I went to er and the doctor told me that 2 more hours I would not have made it, because of her lack of concern it almost killed me.  I was in shock to find out I was actually pregnant so now super happy and really want this baby!  I really hope all goes well with you and yes, let's go through this together!

Thank you I am to go back to the doctor tomorrow and they may do another u/s.  I have already had one miscarriage and one etopic that almost killed me, so I get kind of nervous.  I was told I couldn't get pregnant on my own, so I feel like this is a miracle baby anyways, and I really want it to be all right.
