Sorry to say but most male cats if not fixed before they start spraying will continue to spray after they are fixed because that is how they mark their territory. Are you positive he is spraying or is he just peeing? But there are programs that spay/neuter for cheap. I Live in MN and we have a program called snap. It's to promote fixing your animals to prevent over population in the shelters and to help control the feral cat population. They travel to all different parts of the cities and you qualify as long as you make less than a certain amount a year.
If the cat is very close/affectionate to you before you were pregnant, it is claiming territory and keeping other animals away from you and baby
Find a free or low cost vet go to any low income area vet and they will most likely have a program for fixing him. I am rehoming 2 of my dogs because I simply can not handle having so many pets anymore I have a cat but she is an outside cat that is sweet as possible but very low maintainence one older dog and a pair or turtles that just hang out all day I know what I can handle and I deal with what I can't your going to be a mother now and that's just how it has to be.
He is probably stressed. Its not his fault.
My cat started doing this too so we got him fixed and now he's an outside cat. He loves it.
I say the best thing to do is let them go.
You are at a stage where you should be worried about you and your unborn baby.
He isn't fixed and it's hard where I live to find a place that will do it cheap or free, every place I've looked at is atleaat $120
Call your local shelter and ask how to go about getting him neutered for either free, or very low cost. Most shelters have either a program for it, or give out vouchers that can be redeemed at your local vet.
There are clinics that do free spay and neuter for cats. Thats how I got my cat fixed
Cat's spray to show that it's their territory or a way to communicate with you saying that they need to see a vet. Since they can't tell you, that's the way of showing you they don't feel good. Or It can be a simple thing such as getting your cat fixed if he isn't fixed yet.
Mix up some lemmon juice and water about half and half and every time he sprays on somthing ( while he is doing it or as he is about to ) sprey him with the mix when he licks it off it tasts bad and will diter him from doing it. This may take quite a few times to work as for baby stuff teach him he is not alowd in bubs room ( or wherever bub will b sleeping and where most of bubs stuff is ) chase him out claping you'r hands or even spray him when he goes in these arias
Is he fixed? If not, getting him fixed will probably help. I have quite a few cats all spayed and neutered and only one of them pees in the house because she is a bit special (an in bread cat we took in).
I really don't want him and out door cat, I live on a really busy street and have only lived here for a month and have seen atleast 3 cats hit and passed on the road
My cat is an outside cat. Had to put him out cause when my first baby was a few months old he used to scratch him and we had to put him out but now him and my son play and run around together.
I forgot to add that I did notice my cats spraying after I found out I was pregnant, (no clue why) so thats part of the reason I moved them to the garage.
my friends cat did this BOTH times she was pregnant and after she had the babies. she eventually had to get rid of him because she was sick of dealing with it.
I have two cats, they were both inside. Pregnant women aren't suppose to change litter boxes and sometimes cats can be dangerous once the baby is born because they can tend to be really cuddly and cause suffocation or take the babies breath away. I gradually got my cats use to outside and they usually stay in our garage now, atleast until the baby's born and older.
