dentist during pregnancy

I'm 10wks2dys and I don't have a doctors appt til next Tuesday and I wanted to know of I can go to the  dentist...my teeth hurt.thanks

Yes you can. I had horrible tooth pain a few weeks ago and went to the dentist. They put 3 dental shields over my stomach when doing the x-ray. It turned out I needed a root canal.

Actually, if they have an abdominal shield at your dentist office, you can have an X-ray. Dental X-rays don't have a lot of radiation, and an abdominal shield protects the baby. Going to the dentist is highly recommended during pregnancy because teeth problems during pregnancy cab cause preterm labor.

Yes you can go to the dentist but you just need to tell them that you are pregnant because they can't do any xrays when you are there.  But a normal cleaning is fine.
