LOL I try not to go too crazy but if i dont eat, i feel sick and dizzy, like 1stxmommy. I don't eat junk food, drink sodas, dairy, and was a vegetarian before pregnancy. Now, i eat meat (no red meat) and eat A TON OF FRUIT!!! haha maybe i really want sugar and that's making up for it. IDK!! it's interesting.
If you're underweight you're going to want to gain 30-40 pounds while pregnant. If you're severely underweight, you'll ideally want to gain more - in that situation your doctor would be your best guide. The key is moderation. You only need 300-500 extra calories while pregnant, so you don't have to 'eat for two'. Try looking for foods that will keep you fuller for longer, or eat small snacks through the day. Most of your weight gain will come in the second and third trimester, so you don't want to go too crazy in the beginning.
Try and eat healthy and try not to eat sweets/chocolate and crisps that way your not gaining much weight through eating it'll just be the baby weight
I thought I was over reacting also I'm 8 weeks and have gained 12 already but if I don't eat I get dizzy
I was underweight when I got pregnant too.
Im now 33 weeks and I have gained almost 50 pounds. Lol
Kinda depressing, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my son(:
You can loose all the weight after pregnancy. I gained 50+ lbs with my first and was back down go pre-pregnancy size within a month.
Gaining weight is part of pregnancy!! I'm 9wks3days and I've gain around the same. I was a cheerleader in high-school and remember when I thought 115 was huge. I was 135 when I got pregnant and am already 143lbs. I would eat and eat and eat at eight weeks! Just go for walks it helps.
