dilated or not dilated?

Today Im 34 weeks n the last time I went to the doctor, she said I was externally open becuz I had already a baby before. So does that mean Important dilated at all or not? Im so confused! Or maybe my cervix is thinning out? Idk! Can someone plz help me answer this question.

Dr isnt sure of my delivery date and im not either -- the ultra sound says one thing - my Dr says the other -- now I feel like im walkin on egg shells and more anxious coz of the uncertainity - how do drs/ u calculate delivery date? Anybody...:-(

Hi!
If you were my patient, I woudl advise you that the cervix is about 2 inches long and can often feel like a funnel which is closed at the top.  This is very common when women have had children before.  It doesn't mean that you will have preterm or early labor--sorry!

Its normal to be dialated about a centimeter already if you had a baby already.at my 36 week check up I was dialated to a 2 but internally I was 1.5 (I have a 4 yr old).I still say I'm dialated to a 2 though.lol
