dilemma...i need help from some experienced women!

ok here's the brief run down. AF expected 6/22, tested 6/23 with FMU and faint positive. tested 2 more times throughout the day and both faint positives. tested tues morning twice, 1 digital that said pregnant, 1 slightly darker faint positive. tested wed another positive, but started light pink spotting. all this time i start getting some pregnancy symptoms, so i am thinking i am totally pregnant. thurs still spotting and called the nurse. she said take it easy blah blah. then that night the blood turns more red and i have a couple super tiny clots. so i start freaking out and call the doc first thing fri morning. they tell me to come in. doc says preg test is very faint, can't tell by my cervix since i am so early. takes my blood as says come back monday and take more blood. then he says sometimes LH will cause positive test. weird...since that has to do with ovulation but ok. friday night i start bleeding bright red heavily with numerous clots, some very large. so at this point i know i am miscarrying...or what i think anyways. so i get my blood results back today, friday was 6 and monday was 2. makes sense to me...i miscarried friday so i knew mondays would be low. so...the nurse then says you could have had an early miscarriage or it could have just been a LH surge. what??? someone help me out here...how can this be? i have read everywhere on the internet and dont understand how this is possible. how can LH be happening for a week and show up pregnant on 7 tests?? i thought it has to do with ovulation. has anyone ever heard of this?? i am going nuts trying to figure out if i was pregnant or not. i thought i was, i felt like i was, and whatever happened friday night has never happened to me before so i thought for sure it was a miscarriage. now she tells me they dont know and never will know. so either i was or LH surge is her explanation...i am baffled!

its very unlikely that you had a hcg level of 6 and two days later a 2 and that was LH...stupid doctors! I think they're just trying to ease our minds but their doing the exact opposite by creating more uncertainty.
sounds to me like it was early m/c.

i'm sorry. :(

Honestly I think that most likely you were pregnant. The sad thing about pregnancy is 1 out of 3 end in miscarriage and most of the time that is before the women even knew she was pregnant. I know that you have a LH surge during ovulation but it shouldn't be enough to register on a pregnancy test. The only real way to get a false positive is if you are taking fertility drugs which it doesn't sound like you were. :(
