Another common name is PUPPS, its horrible I have it as well. Online there's tons of women who recommend 'grandpas pine tar soap', they say it works wonders. I tried coconut oil with no luck. Its taken over my skin, just hoping the soap stuff works. My drs only suggestion is if it gets too unbearable, we'll induce.
Same my skin is really itchy all over i thought it was dry skin from the weather but i have little itchy bumps too! Im gonna mention it to my o.b my next visit
Tell your midwife so she can check it out, it's very annoying and it's better to have OC ruled out. I've used coconut oil on my hair and for cooking though haven't tried it on the itchy bits! I'll have to get on that!
@ashhhleyp can i get it at?
@Kryara im 33wks i just have like little bumps on my body its no so bad but it does itch alot even my head be itching, but my hands are the ones that are really dry with a few rashes and little bumps as well they itch more than my body it really is frustrating. I have an appt tomorrow so i will be letting her know because its getting uncomfotable :/
@ashhhleyp where can
Try using coconut oil on your body. That's what I use and it works wonders!
How many weeks are you? I'm having this problem. I was diagnosed with PEP in my last pregnancy on my stomach and this pregnancy is worse as it's not just on stomach this time. I've woke up with scrab marks down my face from itching in my sleep and I've got blood blisters all over my chest from scratching.
It's horrible isn't it? Mention it to your midwife next time as some women in last trimester develop obstetric cholestasis which causes severe itching and needs to be monitored.
