i know i have post a lot of the same questions..but im pretty nervous. it is now august 14...i got my pregnancy confirmed on the 4..on the 5 i went to the bathroom and wiped brown..later that night it changed to bright red then throught the past few days just got darker...then on the 10 i stopped bleeding and it was brown ONLY WHEN I WIPE ..its only sometimes now..barley ever. i went to get my hcg levels tested on the 9th [when i was still bleeding] and they were low..only 38. when i went to planned parenthood to confirm my pregnancy they told me i was 5 weeks[on aug 4] but they were only telling me that based on my last period. when i go back monday to get my hcg levels retested ...should i expect them to tell me im having a miscarriage..or just earlier in the pregnancy than i got told atfirst?? i could really use some help again!!!!

I will let you know what I went though.. when I was 8 weeks pregnant I started bleeding with clots and everything then the next day I started gushing blood with clots.. I went to the ER and everything was fine I had subchronic bleeding which is a blood clot behind the wall that for some reason my cervix opened up enough to let all the blood go. Normally you bleed or spot for days even weeks that it normally is a slow bleed not the gush I had. I am now 15weeks pregnant and baby is fine. I know how scary bleeding is during pregnancy but in some cases everything is okay.... I wish you luck...

Thank you. Kids are great, mine is sleeping on me right now lol. Now that I think about it I had bleeding like that with my son too. You probably are really early cuz I found out I was pregnant when I was 5 weeks and that was when I starting having that bleeding too. Even a little cramping is normal sometimes. After all there's a lot of new things going on down there. Lol

That's the hardest part about a miscarraige..or not..the waiting. When I almost lost my son, well we thought I did it was so much like a miscarraige, part of me wanted to go to the hospital and figure out what was going on but the rational part of me said it didn't matter if I went to the hospital or not, there wouldn't be anything anyone could do to save my baby if I was having a miscarraige. Thankfully we didn't lose him and now he's 7 weeks old and healthy and keeping me up all night lol. I would try not to worry too mucj cuz stressing and worrying isn't good for the baby. And take everything on forus like this with a grain of salt, because everyone is different and everyone has different opinions.

You may be earlier in your pregnancy than you think. Spotting is very common in pregnancy and if it isn't bright red and no clotting you shouldn't worry too much. If you were spontainiously aborting you would feel it. A miscarriage tends to HURT. I've actually had four. Try not to stress and just live your life like your pregnant. Go ahead and get your hopes up and be excited about this pregnancy. Either way if you lose this baby it's going to be devistating no matter if you get excited or not.

I don't know if I would say you would know for sure. Chemical pregnancies account for up to 75% of first trimester miscarriages, and often the mother had no idea she was pregnant. The period was just more heavy. I've also seen some women miscarry with little to no cramping. You need to keep in mind that no two women or pregnancies are the same. Like smj said. A very low majority of women will have a real period, and only under special circumstances. For almost everyone it's impossible to get a real period, but vaginal bleeding is very possible. Talk to your doctor about it and see what they say. Only time will tell if your pregnancy is viable or not.

Dark blood is old blood, so it could just be from implantation, or something else...I'd be more worried if it's bright red and heavy.

Yeah, you'll have other signs. You'll know. I found out I was pregnant..last August 25th then I has a miscarriage on August 29th, just four days later. And I knew. It was the most awful thing in the world. I was only probably 4 or 5 weeks along, it was unbelievably painful! Crazy type of pain, like couldn't walk couldn't breath type of pain. (After you have the baby you'll know what I'm talkin about lol) and there were HUGE clots...I mean huge, you'll know its not right. One of my friends through she had a miscarraige and she kept talking about it and I just kept telling her if its a miscarriage, you'll know. Cuz if you didn't know you were pregnant and then a miscarraige happened you'd call an ambulance cuz you would seriously freak out like you would think your dying. Its the most awful thing in the world. So just have hope, relax, and try not to stress or overdo it, just in case. And if you're worried, just go to the hospital, its better to be safe than sorry.

It's common to have spotting/light bleeding in early pregnancy. NO ONE HAS REGULAR PERIODS IN PREGNANCY EVER!!! If you're bleeding heavily with ANY pain you should be seen by a dr IMMEDIATELY. You can have bleeding throughout your pregnancy, but it's NOT a regular period.

Yes Casey you would have pain in ur lower abdomen, back pain, and tailbone pain. . I think some people that forget that. It is poamssible to still have a regular period when ur pregnant it happens all the time. Sfreaswill not help at all. Just recheck hcg levels and without pain and since it's old blood, I seriously doubt ur doc will be worried but congratsa nd good luck

Ahhh you poor thing, the waiting game *****!!! Although, your HCG level may seem low, everyone is different. It's not really the number that matters but more the trend that they're rising at. Your levels should double every 48-72 hours (in a normal pregnancy).  You really just have to wait to find out wether your numbers are going up still, or on the way down. I hope it's good news for you, Good luck.

I think you will be earlier in your pregnancy than told , a miscarriage would possibly show some more signs than a long week of spotting signs.
