extreme heartburn

I have no idea what to do to like ease the pain... Its like some one is lighting a fire in my throat and even when I try to drink water it won't go away. It's horrible, any one have some advice?

Yup Gaviscon is a life saver. I take it everywhere I go. I get really really bad acid and it is extremely painful. Use Gaviscon, if you live in canada get it from walmart, dont buy it from shoppers, rip off.

Wintergreen flavored tums worked great for me nd the wintergreen ones don't taste like sugar powder like the original ones do they actually just taste like a mint

This is weird but it really worked for me every single time. I went in to labor and delivery once with my last pregnancy and when I got discharged I asked the nurse what to do for severe heartburn and she told me to open a can on voke and let it lie out for a while. Then drink it once it wasn't bubbly anymore. It surprisingly worked. And its safe to have 2 caffinated sodas a day. Hope it works for you too

I would try drinking a glass of milk . it had always helped me !

Have you tried milk, ice cream, or yogurt? Those soothe my heartburn.

Oh man i just went through that i was having it really bad i mean i had extreme chest pain it was horrible even water would trigger it my ob recommended zantac otc and after a few days it worked i haven't had heartburn in like 3 days i am hoping it's gone for good

I have to take Prilosec OTC every night before bed, if I didn't have that I'd probably be dead!

iT otc at like walmart. I was dealing with the same thing last night. But it kept comin up.  Took 2 of those and within 15 min it was gone. Hope it helps

i get this all the time its like anything i eat makes me have heartburn an it gets so bad i wana cry but i found that alka selzer  chewy  tablets the lemon flavored help alot an my doctor said they are perfectly fine to take being pregnant.
