glucose test ??

So I took the glucose test where they make you drink this juice, wait about an hour then they take your blood out for the test.. I received a call today it was the nurse saying that it came out a little high so I have an appointment tomorrow which I have to go on an empty stomach. Does anyone know what happens next or why I have to go.? Is it something I should worry about that my test was a little high? also I know that I have to fast tomorrow but if I eat late at night will it affect the results??

That's just what my doctor told me...I live on a mIlitary base so I don't know how it works at a civilian doctor..but my doctor told me not to eat past 7 because I had to go in at 7 and get my blood drawn 4 times in 3 hours

I just had it done too. If you ate or drank anything after midnight that night that could be the reason it was a little high. All I was told I could drink after midnight was water and that after drinking the juice I could not even drink water. The next appointment will be the exact same thing as this one only they will keep you three hours and draw blood every hour.

You aren't allowed to eat before you're glucose test...I had to take the three hour test and they told me I couldn't eat 9 hours prior to my appointment.. My levels also came back elevated but not high enough to cause concern

What can I eat that doesn't contain that much or no sugar at all?

Tomorrow you will probably have to take a three hour test. It's just like the one hour one except you get two bottles of Juice and you have blood taken every hour. Yes eating a full meal late a night can affect the  results and make it higher.  At least it did for me.  I wouldn't worry until you  do the three hour one and it came back high.  It means you would have to watch what you eat.

Also you should eat the night before.  Just dont eat past midnight. Dont eat anything really sugary try to inly drink water. But if you start to feel hungry just try and eat something sugar free.

This time they will probably do a three hour test. This is just to make sure that you don't have diabetes. Then you will have to be monitored and change your diet.

They will give you the drink again bit this time you will havr to stay a total of three hours. Getting blood drawn every hour.  So 3 different pricks. Dont worry I had to take it with my first and it turns out I didn't even have it. By the way you dont have to wait in the waiting room you can leave and come back each hour that they tell you... but you have to be back right on time.. anyway good luck!
