glucose tolerance

So I did my 1 hour glucose tolerance last week and got my results today. Kinda upset...they came back abnormal. They like for the glucose to be under 140 and mine was 164. About 3 hours after drinking the glucola last week my sugar dropped to 42, luckily I'm a nurse and noticed what was going on and immediately checked my sugar and then ate. But anyway...I go back on Friday to do my 3 hour glucose and am so nervous it is going to come back positive too. I have only gained 4 pounds and I am 28 weeks 3 days. I weigh 191 now and was 187 when I found out I was pregnant. I'm 5'5". Anyone else had a negative 3 hour after a positive 1 hour test?

Okay thanks! My instructions say to increase carb intake by 200mg daily 2 days prior. Its says to eat an extra 6 pieces of bread and 2 candy bars a daybfor those 2 days then fast after midnight

I passed my one hour test

I failed the one hour and passed the three hour . Try to stay away from anything sweet or carbs  . Start up to three days before u test and drink nothing but water  .. all so eat a healthy meal the night before

Thanks! I have checked my sugar periodically throughout the day during my whole pregnancy just because I had the meter and strips and no matter what time of day I take it it has never been above 85 so hopefully it goes well.

I had a negative 3 hour glucose test i am now 34 weeks and i now have to check my blood sugar 4 times a day and carefully watch what i eat about the last month, and everytime i check it's exactly where it needs to be!
So hopefully you pass it because taking blood is hard to remember although it's for the best!

I take my test tomorrow but I read on here and else where that most fail their 1 hour test and pass the 3 hour test.
