TA DA>...................... I finally found a LOGICAL explanation for why my period is late (this is for all of you that i've been discussing a late AF with). SURGERY!! YEs...surgery. ON 1/7/09 I had surgery on my feet. They gave me tranquilizers and apparently this can delay a period! Weird, huh? I found it online....not even sure how but i did and there are lots of stories of women having surgeries and their periods being off. SO at least now I am 99% convinced I'm not preggo. The other 1% will come when AF arrives. :)

We're not actively ttc so bd'ing occurs on a sporadic basis. I had surgery on 1/7,which is usually (according to saliva test) about when I ovulate (CD 9 to 12) and i bd'd after surgery (what can i say..being helpless must turn him on! heheh). So that's the main reason I'm concerned...it I O'd on that day AND we bd'd AND the POM (pulloutmethod) didn't work as effectively as we thought (even though it has for 3 years) then there might be an explanation for a late AF. Or, as you said..i o'd late (had tons of cm on 1/25) and af will show up accordingly.

Ovulation could have occurred anywhere from the 6th (date of surgery) to now... sooooo... have you been bd'ing???  

as long as you have pee sticks on hand, i say keep peeing!!  ;-)

Ya..you're right..o was probably late. I don't use OPK's but my cycle is 28-31 days long. ONly once in my life was later than 31 days and it was Cd 33. So, surgery probably made me O late, around 1/25 which means that AF won't arrive for another week or so, which is why I"m waiting longer to get a beta. Give it time to show.

but remember, babe----it's not AF that would be technically delayed, it would be ovulation.  When were you supposed to ovulate?  If you don't know that, they when were you supposed to have AF and how long are your cycles?

and....it is likely a sinus problem but i had a nose bleed (sorta) in my right nostril this morning. Not "running" bleeding, but noticable nonetheless.

what i mean by that (i had to close the box quickly...am at work), is that the fact that I had surgery is a wonderful explanation for a late period, but since I"ve never been late before, is also an excuse for pregnancy. I'm repeating myself I know, it just helps to vent. I'm done testing until either AF shows or I get a beta. Of course, as i type this I'm thinking , "but i have 4 cheapies left"  so maybe i won't stop completely but I am getting annoyed. Also, my bb's still hurt, but nothing else has really changed. I really am convinced AF is late b/c of surgery. I just think i'd have more pregnancy symptoms...even if some women don't.

keepurfaith...dont give up!! Like you said, a bfp wouldn't come until after implantation for a couple of days.  at least you didn't have surgery!! :D

And I've been looking up things and a lot of people have said that they spotted just as I am and for days even, and got a BFP. So hopefully!! I almost tested this morning! lol But I backed out of it. I can get another one within a week... or so.. but, bleh!! LOL... How odd we both had cherrios. lol


I was also up lastnight because I was making a website. I was trying to buy the domain and yada yada yada... lol It's complicated!

The hunger thing has me confused as well, although I certainly wasn't up till 6 am and haven't been since i was in college! hahaha...sorry. not making fun. :(

Last night Dh and I made salad and after sitting down to eat it, I was stuffed four bites later! I tried to eat some mac and cheese but it was out right disgusting (really was...not just me). SO being full, I gave up and returned to doing homeowork (in grad school) and I swear to you, an hour later i was starving. So i made a slimfast shake (have to use dry powder since i'm lactose intolerant). I was hungry and hour after that but gave up and went to bed. I woke up this morning and was starving!! I'm never hungry in the mornings, and usually refuse to eat until 11 am but HAD to have cherrios this morning. IT's weird, and i'm chalking it up to a hormone imbalance but if I were to discover a BFP than of course I could then go back and connect the dots and say "this was b/c of preg. and so was this and this and this." But for now, I'm just ripping my hair out. The last thing  I need is MORE fat on my ***.!!!! ahahahah....seriously!

Have you tested again? The lil brown/pink stuff sounds like IB to me girly, esp b/c you've had it for what, two or three days now? Usually AF would rear her ugly head by now!!

I have no idea if I'm getting a beta. I might because I still don't have Af. But today I woke up and had a little pink with brown. So, either I'm going to start seeing Miss Red today/Soon... Or It's just something my bodies doing to make me test. Still no cramping either. And I didn't go to bed until almost 6:00am. I was tired but couldn't sleep. I had a steak & potato for dinner around 6-7:00pm. Somewhere around 12:30am.. I was eating another baked potato. Then at 3:45am I was eating cheerios. I felt so hungry lastnight. I don't know if it's pregnancy related, or Af. They both can be tricky.

CD 36 and still nothing! So do you live close to Utah b/c if so...we'll march right into a docs office together and say ...no blood yet so draw it!! (eww..that was tacky, huh?)

I really am going nuts. the cramps come and go but so quickly! I probably have cramps a total of 5 minutes out of the entire day when combined.... wtf????
I took another Dollar Store cheapie and BFN! I have four more and I know there's no point. Why am i even doing this to myself? I know im not preggo but stories like what you said above and everyone elses' about finding out late have me second guessing myself. what really pisses me off is the fact that the superbowl is on today and i'm afraid to drink Beer!! I don't want to find out im' preggo and be like, "oh ****...alll that beer too.."
So i'm erroring on the side of caution but it pisses me off b/c in my head, i know i'm not!! UGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

When are you gonna give in and get a beta? I"m waiting b/c if I did O late, i'll know if i got preggo from that too (as in, if i'm not preggo from Oing on time, maybe i'm preggo from oing late...) so i wanna weed all possibilities out when I get my Beta. I'm slowly going crazy i think!! :D

I'm not peeing all the time either. I think sometimes i'm just so still and focused on something, and I don't notice it. I don't know. But, I do know that it all depends on the pregnancy and woman. I've been talking with this lady who said she didn't start peeing a lot until she was 9 weeks pregnant. I'm just like WOW!! Lol.

I'm trying to holdout on testing too. I'm waiting to see if this was IB. I'm not cramping any.
And when I do, it's not painful still and it's when the spotting stops.. Then the spotting starts again. I may wear a pad tomorrow just so I can see if anything reaches it.

well you're in a better position that me to be pregnant. I've NEVER been late either (well, once started on CD 33) but this far exceeds late in my book (CD 35). But it's too conicidental that it happened the same month as my surgery so I'm going with that as an explanation. BUT YOU HOWEVER.....no excuses!!! So test test test test test!! I'm going batty!!! I'm trying tol hold out at least until 2/9 before going to get a blood test b/c if I DID "o" late on 1/24 (CD 28), which is when I got the crazy amount of CM, than AF should arrive before 2/9. That's my reasoning, what do you think??

I can't stand peanut butter anymore! It just got yucky! And after the recall, I'm just not even going there!! LOL
Well, I woke up today and had some pink brownish spotting again. Haven't seen the first sign of red. There was more today but still hadn't made it to my underwear, I guess I over slept! lol I woke up just a few minutes ago. I haven't slept until 12:30 in a longgg time.

No cramps either. Which I think is ALWAYS great for me. Lol I hate cramps. I do get the little twinges sometimes but nothing like AF. I wanted to test again this morning but I'm holding it all back! And besides, I already used FMU to potty.....

This month is over tomorrow. And, I don't have a true period. Af is always on time, VERY noticeable and sometimes heavy with tons of cramps and clots.... So far nothing but spotting pink and brown....... hmmmmmmm lol

Still no AF either. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh!!!!!

I actually had some stronger cramps this morning so thought i would jump for joy at the arrival of AF but still no sign of her. Like i said before, I resign myself to finally believing I"m not pregnant (esp b/c I can go all night without having to pee) and then something changes that conviction (like not being able to finish a piece of p & b toast and the smell of the peanut butter made me want to gag!!) so not normal!!!

LOL!!! I've been doing the SAME THING! I Think I should stop cause I grabbed them the same way and that's where their sore! lol But I lifted my arm and felt where I haven't been grabbing and it's still sore..
