Does anyone know if it is normal to have a period one week after a d&c? I really hope so because this was my first pregnancy and I really want to start trying again asap. I only slightly spotted for the first couple days after the d&c, but an hour or so ago I really starting bleeding what looks like normal period blood (sorry to get so detailed) but i really need to know if this is normal. All the stories I've read on here it takes most people weeks after their d&c to have a period. I was only 8-9 weeks pregnant, but it was considered a "missed abortion" so I'm not sure if that means I did not have as much of the pregnancy hormone as most other females.

Hi!
I think I already answered your question in the other forum.  Once again -- condolences on your loss!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that I don't see any reason why you couldn't try again right away for another pregnancy.  It is common to have one miscarriage.  It is much less common to have two in a row, so next pregnancy will likely go better.
Good luck!
